Lina'la' Roots Club is back 🥳 join our FREE Summer School Program at Guåhan Sustainable Culture's Food Resiliency Hub (former Hamamoto Gardens) in Yona, Monday to Friday from 8 am - 5:00 pm for incoming 6th to 8th-grade students. Limited slots available!
The program runs from June 3- 26th
Students will dive into hands-on, culturally rooted activities that ignite their connection to the land and to one another.
Guided by cultural practitioners, participants will steward a garden—planting, tending, and harvesting their own food and amot (Chamorro/CHamoru medicine) . They’ll get their hands dirty, cook vibrant, nourishing dishes, and experience the power of fresh, local ingredients from soil to table.
Along the way, students will explore cultural arts, history, and language, deepening their sense of identity and strengthening their connection to the traditions that shape our island.
Through this program, we’re empowering the next generation to take charge of their food systems and cultivate a healthier, more resilient future for our island!
