September 2026 Virtual General Membership Meeting

Our September 2026 Virtual General Membership Meeting will be held this Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:30 AM. 

Our speaker is Dr. Thomas G. Calderon, Professor of Accounting Emeritus at the University of Akron and University of Guam Visiting Professor in Accounting. His topic is “Algorithmic Bias, AI and the Government Accountant”. One (1) CPE will be issued to attendees.

Free CPE for AGA/GSCPA Members  and $10 fee for Non-Members. A registration link is forthcoming. See email for the Zoom link.

Please do not forget to also log-in https://agaguam.cnf.io during the meeting to qualify for the CPE.

The AGA Guam Chapter invites you to join us in the 32nd Annual Guam International Coastal Clean-Up (GICC). It will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Show time/check-in will begin at 6:30 AM and go time will start at 7:00 AM at the Chamorro Village Market Huts in Paseo. You may join another site for the clean-up. Please email a photo to self-certify for a community service credit. 

Please pre-register online at: https://bsp.guam.gov/gicc2026/. There is NO on-site registration on the day of the event. When registering, please note “AGA Guam Chapter” as the Name of Organization and choose Cleanup Site “Alupang, East Hagatna Bay”. See screenshot of how to input the information.

Registered volunteers will receive gloves and trash bags upon check-in. Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoors, sunblock, and bring your refillable water bottle.

August 2026 In-Person General Membership Meeting

Our August 2026 General Membership Meeting will be held in-person on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Hilton Guam Resort & Spa Chuchuko Room at 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. 

Our Speaker is Ms. Jane Burigsay, Public Affairs Specialist at the Social Security Administration. Her topic is “Social Security Benefits - What You Need to Know”. One (1) CPE will be issued to attendees. 

Lunch Fee is $35 for AGA/GSCPA Members and JAS/AA Student Members and $43 for Non-Members.

The session will feature Rory J. Respicio, the General Manager at the Port Authority of Guam. His presentation will cover “Building an Institution Instead of Managing an Agency: The Unseen Infrastructure of Public Trust.” Participants will be eligible to earn one (1) CPE credit.

Join us for AGA Guam Chapter’s final General Membership Meeting of the year on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM at The Point, RIHGA Royal Laguna Guam Resort.

As we close out another successful year, we invite you to celebrate the achievements of our members and chapter. The evening will feature recognition of our Best CCR Award recipient, the John Phillips Award recipient, scholarship recipients, and the New Officers’ Oath of Office ceremony as we welcome the next generation of chapter leadership.

Admission is $30 for AGA Members and $40 for Non-Members.

Our next General Membership Meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The session, in collaboration with the AGA Hawaii Chapter, will feature Claudia Ohar, AGA Director for Chapters Area 2. Her presentation will cover Integrated Program and Project Management, with a focus on breaking silos to drive government accountability.
