We paid a visit to our friends at the Netherlands Pavilion!

It wasn't just a standard booth visit: it was a truly immersive experience. To cut through the bustling noise of the expo, our hosts invited us to tune in together.

Slipping on their dedicated headsets, we experienced Dutch hospitality at its finest: enjoying a highly engaging, focused presentation that showcased their cutting-edge approach to communication 🇳🇱 🙌

🇬🇷 Hellenic Pavilion x Huawei 🌐 | Inside the "IQ Era"

The Hellenic Pavilion went behind the scenes today at GSMA MWC26 for an exclusive private tour of the Huawei booth. Immersing ourselves in the ecosystem of a global titan in the tech and telecom sector was a definitive highlight of the week.

Our delegation had the unique opportunity to test-drive Huawei’s latest technologies, from AI-native networks to the next frontier of 5G-Advanced (5G-A). We then had a deep dive into the colossal infrastructure that will power the 6G era and beyond.

A massive thank you to the Huawei team for the hospitality and the expert-led walkthrough. Seeing this level of innovation up close is a powerful reminder of where the industry is headed🚀

Day 3 at GSMA MWC Barcelona was a special one for the Hellenic Pavilion.

We crossed the aisle to visit our friends at the Spanish Pavilion. Beyond the proximity of our booths, there is a deep-rooted connection between our two tech communities based on shared vision and innovative spirit.

It wasn't just about networking: it was about action. Our minds delivered a series of high-impact pitches, sharing the "Greek spirit" of innovation with a captive Spanish audience.

At the Greek Pavilion during MWC in Barcelona, we had a constructive and forward-looking meeting with the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou.

SEKEE was represented by President Manos Macromallis, Vice President George Markatatos, and members of the Board of Directors.

The discussion confirmed the strong alignment between the Ministry and the Greek tech ecosystem — represented in this instance by ΣΕΚΕΕ (SEKEE) — on a shared strategic objective: strengthening Greece's global digital footprint and accelerating the international scaling of Greek innovation.

Key areas of focus included:
🔹 Expanding the international presence of Greek technology companies, building on flagship initiatives such as Mobile World Congress and GITEX Europe, and exploring new structured pathways to connect Greek firms with global innovation hubs and strategic partners.

🔹 The Pharos and Daedalus platforms, as critical national digital and AI infrastructure initiatives, and how the broader business community can actively engage with and leverage these frameworks.

🔹 Unlocking the value of open public sector data, enabling the development of innovative, high-value solutions by Greek technology companies.

We also exchanged views on the national Cybersecurity Strategy (CS2) and the Digital Networks Act — both central to shaping a secure, resilient, and future-proof digital environment that supports competitiveness and digital sovereignty.
Greece's technology sector is gaining tangible international momentum.

Sustained, structured dialogue between government and industry is essential to maintaining this trajectory and positioning Greece as a credible, outward-looking digital player in the global ecosystem.
