True Change — Begins when good intentions are backed by hard data. 🌊

​To create lasting marine conservation impact, we must move beyond abstract promises and quantify our efforts. Our Grand Inaugural Initiative in Rafina wasn't about just cleaning a beach; it established a hard, measurable baseline for our 4-year Ocean Stewards journey ahead.

​Here is the concrete reality of our collective action on March 29th:

🙌 150+ amazing volunteers on the ground

🤝 10+ NGOs, Schools, and Institutions united

🤿 6+ free divers clearing the depths

​Every kilo weighed and volunteer counted is a step toward real, trackable change. Meticulously measuring these "drops in the ocean" is exactly how we will eventually turn the tide. 💧

Following the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and the Australian Embassy, this third major Auspices solidifies our alliance as a leading force for marine conservation in Greece.

This recognition by the Hellenic Ministry of Environment validates our commitment to blue economy and the protection of our Mediterranean ecosystems.

🌊 A phenomenal launch for Ocean Stewards in Rafina! 🌊

We officially launched our 4-year journey for ocean conservation with an incredible coastal and underwater cleanup! This powerful alliance brings together The American College of Greece (ACG), Chatzigakis Foundation, and MEPP Environmental for the protection of our marine ecosystems.

Here is what we achieved together:

🙌🏻 150+ volunteers on the ground
🔗 10+ NGOs/ Schools/ Institutions
🤿 6+ free divers & their diving boat
♻️ 3,865 kg of ocean and coastal waste recovered

The program is off to a dynamic start under the auspices of Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sport, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, and The Embassy of Australia Athens. HE Ambassador Alison Duncan joined us on the field with her family to speak about our joint commitment, alongside the Mayor of Rafina-Pikermi, Dimitra Tseva-Mila.

Standing with us from the corporate world as Ocean Protectors is .global | Bolton Hellas (Rio Mare). Country Manager George Tsakalakis and his amazing team joined us right on the ground, along with our long-standing supporters from .

The Ocean Stewards Program is now officially under the Auspices of the Υπουργείο Παιδείας, Θρησκευμάτων και Αθλητισμού | Hellenic Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports.

This recognition is a powerful testament to our commitment to environmental literacy. We believe that protecting our oceans starts in the classroom and continues in the field.

Together with our partners, we are building a national movement of students and volunteers dedicated to the blue economy and the preservation of our Mediterranean ecosystems. 🛡️⚓

The Future of our Oceans isn't just a discussion; it’s our shared mission. 🌊✨
We are still inspired after our "Future-Proofing the Blue" panel at Deree Business Week 2026 at The American College of Greece.

Coordinated by the dynamic Maritime Transport & Supply Chain Society and curated by The Ocean Stewards Program, this was truly a 360° dialogue that brought together circular economy, material science, AI monitoring, non-toxic innovation, and energy transition.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible powerhouse of leaders who shared their vision and practical strategies for transforming industries:

- George Tsakalakis of Bolton Hellas / Rio Mare on leveraging circularity in FMCGs.
- Elena Athousaki of Motor Oil Group on navigating corporate transformation for clean energy and sustainable marine fuels.
