The long lasting history of the American College of Greece (ACG) reminds us that even when times were vertically different in the foundation of education and operation, lay the values of respecting nature and serving the community.

This photo of young female students in Paleo Phalero when the campus was settled in the area, is now part of the digital exhibition commemorating 150 years of ACG history and legacy.

A vivid reminder of how far we've come to truly realise the mission of Program Ocean Stewards.

A wonderful moment captured at the Deree campus as we officially welcome Penny Sahinis, our Ocean Stewards Champion, all the way from Australia! 🌊🇦🇺

Today marked the first gathering of our entire alliance to align on the vision, mission, and strategic roadmap for the four-year Ocean Stewards program. Seeing our team come together in person—as captured in this milestone photo from our meeting—brings incredible energy to our shared goals for marine conservation and environmental literacy.

A special recognition goes to Penny for her unwavering support and leadership. As our OS Champion for the Greek diaspora, she has secured the allocation from the OS Collection of 6,000 pens from our Pen Series to champion the protection of our oceans.

Thrilled to embark on this four-year journey together. The work has just begun! 💙🌍

60 εθελοντές. 6 ώρες συνολικά. 70 κιβώτια.

Στο Campus του Αμερικανικού Κολλεγίου Ελλάδος, εθελοντές του Ocean Stewards μαζί με την ομάδα της Unilever ετοίμασαν τις αποστολές της εκστρατείας «Μαζί για το Σχολείο 2026–27» υπό τον συντονισμό του Ιδρύματος Χατζηγάκη.

▪️ 60+ εθελοντές
▪️ 70 κιβώτια σχολικά είδη
▪️ 6+ ώρες προετοιμασίας και δράσης
▪️ Στόχος προγράμματος (φέτος): 110 σχολεία, 3.800+ μαθητές

Δεν μετράμε κιβώτια. Μετράμε σχολεία και μαθητές που και αυτή τη χρονιά θα μπουν στην τάξη, με όλα τα απαραίτητα.

Σταθερά δίπλα μας και ο Δήμος Αγίας Παρασκευής — ο Δήμαρχος κ. Γιάννης Μυλωνάκης ήταν παρών στη δράση και στήριξε την προσπάθεια από την πρώτη στιγμή και φέτος για 3η συνεχή χρονιά.

Ευχαριστούμε από καρδιάς τη Unilever για τη στήριξη και την Omonia Trans διαχρονικά δίπλας μας, την ομάδα της Engage Solutions και τον Δήμο Αγίας Παρασκευής για τη διαρκή παρουσία του, και κάθε εθελοντή που έδωσε ένα πρωινό του ώστε κάποιος άλλος να ξεκινήσει τη χρονιά του με αξιοπρέπεια.

Μαζί για το Σχολείο | Εκστρατεία Στήριξης 2026–27 🎒

Η νέα σχολική χρονιά ξεκινά και το πρόγραμμα «Μαζί για το Σχολείο» ανοίγει τον φετινό του κύκλο. Την Παρασκευή 4 Σεπτεμβρίου, στο Student Lounge του Deree, πραγματοποιείται η πρώτη δράση προετοιμασίας των αποστολών: συγκεντρώνουμε, ταξινομούμε και συσκευάζουμε σχολικά είδη που θα ταξιδέψουν σε μαθητές σε όλη την Ελλάδα.

Στη δράση συμμετέχουν εθελοντές της εταιρείας Unilever, μαζί με την ομάδα του Ocean Stewards.

Ένα τετράδιο, μια κασετίνα, μια τσάντα. Μικρά πράγματα που για έναν μαθητή σημαίνουν ότι κάποιος υπολόγισε πάνω του.

Anchoring our environmental efforts, they are known for their tireless work to revitalize neighborhoods and fight for society, people, the environment, and wildlife. Their core mission to reconnect humans with the environment perfectly aligns with our holistic vision for a sustainable future.

At the heart of Ocean Stewards is a deep belief in the power of synergies. ​This powerful new collaboration, cemented by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, reinforces our commitment to a collective force for action, representing the OS Alliance was, General Secretary of Πολιτιστικό Ίδρυμα Χατζηγάκη / Chatzigakis Foundation, Elisabeth S. Chatzigakis, together with District Governor Dr. Stefanos Anastasopoulos, Assistant Governor Mr. Giannis Chalikias and District Member Ms. Rachel Topalidou, we are combining resources and passion to drive forward in three of our four core pillars:
