✅ 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝝚𝝹𝝿𝝰𝝸𝝳𝝴𝞄𝞂𝝶 σε θεματικές όπως ο Βασικός Ψηφιακός Αλφαβητισμός, η Ασφάλεια στο Διαδίκτυο, τα Βασικά Εργαλεία Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης και η Χρήση Ψηφιακών Υπηρεσιών.

We were happy to welcome Professor Vibeke Bak Nielsen from Aalborg Universitet to Faros School!

During her visit, we introduced her to our approach to education and psychosocial support, our teaching methods, and the challenges refugee teens face in accessing education. We also discussed our experiences with our students and the importance of creating a supportive environment where every young person feels welcome and has the opportunity to learn and grow. 🌱

🧠 World Mental Health Day is a reminder that mental health deserves attention at every stage of life. At Faros School, we recognize the importance of mental well-being in the lives of our students who are navigating life in a new country, building relationships and shaping their future.

Supporting them means caring not only about what they learn, but also about how they feel, whether they feel safe, and whether they know they have someone to turn to. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, not just in their learning, but as a whole person.” - Artemis Milona, Psychologist and Faros School Operations Coordinator.

This World Mental Health Day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an environment where refugee and migrant teens have the opportunities and support they need to thrive, both inside and beyond the classroom.

🎓 We’re happy to share that 22 of our students have received their GlobalCert certificates after successfully completing their Greek language exams at A1 and A2 level!

We are very proud of the progress they’ve made throughout their Greek language classes with the support of the CREATE project. The CREATE project brings creative approaches to second language learning, while also supporting the educational and social inclusion of refugee and migrant youth.

A big congratulations to all our students on this achievement! 👏

The CREATE project is funded by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

We’re preparing 3 creative workshops for young refugees aged 12–19:

🎭 𝗣𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 — Make your own puppets, create stories and bring them to life through short scenes.

🎭 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 — Explore theatre, improvisation and movement while creating your own stories.

♻️ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 — Turn old and unwanted objects into unique creations!
