We are young filmmakers interested in new media (online media, social media, crowd-funding, blogging ect) and the way can be implemented in youth work. All these combined together with our will to learn and the decision to become active and creative brought the “Break The Couch” team to life. Back in 2012 three best friends were living in the Athens of crisis. Unemployed or in jobs that they do not fulfill them gathered in a round table, made a reality check and decided to take a stand and create an initiative to bring them joy while being creative in their fields of interest beyond given circumstances. Throughout the years more people joined this initiative since the group is open for everyone beyond background, abilities, history, environment, preferences, beliefs who is willing to contribute, play, learn, create in it. Today Break The Couch is consisted by 5 steering members and 2 dozens of members.
