Μετά το “Step Into a (Dis)Ability” και το “Step Into a (Dis)Ability Teens”, ήρθε η ώρα για το επόμενο βήμα - αυτή τη φορά μέσα από τον κόσμο των Παραολυμπιακών αθλημάτων! 🏅

📅 Πότε; 20-29 Οκτωβρίου 2026 (travel days included)
📍 Πού; The Ranch, Σοφικό Κορινθίας, Ελλάδα

Τι είναι το Step Into Paralympics; 🤔
Μια 8ήμερη ανταλλαγή νέων εμπνευσμένη από το πώς βιώνει ένα ανάπηρο άτομο τον κόσμο του αθλητισμού και την καθημερινότητα. Μέσα από προσομοιώσεις Παραολυμπιακών αθλημάτων, εργαστήρια και αναστοχασμό, θα μπεις στη θέση Παραολυμπιονικών αθλητών, σπάζοντας στερεότυπα και εμβαθύνοντας την ενσυναίσθηση γύρω από την αναπηρία, τη συμπερίληψη και την προσβασιμότητα στον αθλητισμό.

Ψάχνουμε 4 νέα άτομα (18-30 ετών) από Ελλάδα, καθώς και 1 group leader για να συμμετάσχουν στην αποστολή μας! 🙌

❤️ Θα μας συνοδεύσουν πραγματικοί Παραολυμπιονίκες αθλητές, που θα καθοδηγούν τις αθλητικές μας δραστηριότητες και θα μοιραστούν τη βιωμένη τους εμπειρία μαζί μας!

Αν είσαι ανάπηρο άτομο που ξεκινάει ή θέλει να ξεκινήσει την πορεία του στο youth work και ονειρεύεσαι να γίνεις trainer, αυτή η ευκαιρία είναι φτιαγμένη για σένα! ✨

Τι είναι το T4DT2B; 🤔
Ένα 9ήμερο Professional Development Activity (Training Course), σχεδιασμένο από ανάπηρα άτομα για ανάπηρα άτομα. Φέρνει μαζί 17 ανάπηρους youth workers για να χτίσουν τις δεξιότητες, την αυτοπεποίθηση και το δίκτυο που χρειάζονται για να γίνουν επαγγελματίες trainers στο youth work.

Θα δουλέψουμε πάνω σε:
❥ Facilitation & non-formal education
❥ Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
❥ Group dynamics & conflict resolution
❥ Self-advocacy ως εργαλείο δουλειάς
❥ Gamification
❥ Social model of disability & Intersectionality

‼️Όλα τα έξοδα των συνοδών των συμμετεχόντων (προσωπικοί βοηθοί/ διερμηνείς κλπ.) καλύπτονται από το πρόγραμμα (μη ξεχάσεις να μας ενημερώσεις στην αίτηση ότι χρειάζεται έρθεις με τον συνοδό σου!)

🪢 Communi(ty)cate it! | Youth Participation Activity

From May 24 to 30, 16 young people from Greece and Italy gathered at the beautiful NISI Raches for 🌊 Echoes of Inclusion, the first mobility of our Communi(ty)cate it!

For 6 days, we created a space to slow down and turn inward 🌿 Together we explored:
🗣️ The inner language - how we name ourselves, how identity lives inside us, how words can empower or shrink us
💛 Non-Violent Communication - learning to observe, feel, need and request without harm
🌀 Language, power & narratives - from microaggressions to reclaiming the words that have been used against us

Thank you our amazing Alex for capturing all the moments so beautifully, NISI Raches for hosting us once again, and to every single person who showed up fully, bravely, tenderly. ✨

See you in September for our second mobility in Italy! 🫂

🪢 Communi(ty)cate it! | Youth Participation Activity

We finally get to talk about something that’s been very close to our hearts 🌱

We are incredibly excited to introduce Communi(ty)cate it!, a Youth Participation Activity we’re running alongside our friends YOUth Connect ❤️

At its core, this project is about something we deeply believe in: the power of language to include or exclude 💬 We’re bringing together 16 young people with fewer opportunities -including migrants, q***r and disabled youth and people facing social and economic barriers- to explore how communication shapes our identities, our communities, and our participation in civic life.

Over the course of the project, we’ll journey through:
✨ Two international mobilities (Greece & Italy) - building identity, voice and advocacy skills
🛠️ Three local events in Athens and Turin - a hackathon, a policy dialogue with decision-makers and a final community celebration
📢 A co-created Accessibility Protocol for Inclusive Communication built by young people, for everyone

This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to share it all with you 🫶

Τι στοχεύει το πρόγραμμα; 🤔
Το Arts For Well-Being είναι ένα 7-ήμερο training course που μετατρέπει τη δημιουργικότητα σε πρακτικό εργαλείο για το youth work. Μέσα από εικαστικές τέχνες, δράμα, storytelling, κίνηση και nature-based πρακτικές, θα εξερευνήσεις μη-κλινικά εργαλεία για την υποστήριξη της συναισθηματικής ευεξίας των νέων μέσα από τη βιωματική μάθηση.

Με απλά λόγια: τέχνη, ευεξία, βιωματική μάθηση και εργαλεία για youth work με περισσότερη δημιουργικότητα. 🖌️💛

Αναζητούμε 3 άτομα (20+) από Ελλάδα, που είναι youth workers/εκπαιδευτικοί/trainers/mentors, δουλεύουν άμεσα με νέους ανθρώπους και είναι άνετα με τα Αγγλικά (επίσημη γλώσσα εργασίας). Προτεραιότητα σε άτομα που αντιμετωπίζουν οι ίδια λιγότερες ευκαιρίες ή δουλεύουν με ευπαθείς ομάδες νέων. 🙌

Κόστος:
✈️ Τα έξοδα ταξιδιού καλύπτονται στο 100% μέχρι το ποσό των 259€ ανά άτομο.
🏡 Η διαμονή και διατροφή καλύπτονται κατά 100%.

➡️ Που στοχεύει το πρόγραμμα; ⤵️
Το H.E.A.R.T. LAB εστιάζει στο πώς μπορούμε να δουλεύουμε με τα συναισθήματα σε περιόδους κοινωνικών και παγκόσμιων κρίσεων, να ενισχύουμε την συναισθηματική ανθεκτικότητα στη δουλειά με νέα άτομα και να δημιουργούμε πιο συμπεριληπτικές, προσβάσιμες και συμμετοχικές πρακτικές.

Μέσα από non-formal education, embodied practices, δημιουργικές μεθόδους και outdoor learning, θα εξερευνήσεις εργαλεία που συνδέουν τη φροντίδα, τη συλλογική μάθηση και τον κοινωνικό μετασχηματισμό.

⚡ Με απλά λόγια: συναισθήματα, φύση, βιωματική μάθηση και εργαλεία για youth work με περισσότερη επίγνωση και ανθεκτικότητα.

👀 Αναζητούμε 4 άτομα (18+ χωρίς όριο ηλικίας) από Ελλάδα, που είναι youth workers, facilitators, educators ή συμμετέχουν ενεργά σε youth initiatives, έχουν κάποια εμπειρία στο youth work, βασικές γνώσεις αγγλικών και διάθεση για ενεργή συμμετοχή.

❗️Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει κοινοτική ζωή σε φυσικό περιβάλλον και outdoor στοιχεία, προσαρμοσμένα στις ανάγκες κάθε ατόμου.

🐞 A Bug’s Life Insights | Part 3

What if no system survives alone…
because life itself depends on connection?

In Part 1, we reflected on diversity.
In Part 2, we explored self-organization.
Now we arrive at a final question:

What makes systems endure?

In nature, life does not persist through isolated strength.
It persists through relationships, reciprocity and interdependence. 🌿

What appears independent is often sustained through hidden connections.
Support, mutual reliance and shared vulnerability are not exceptions to life -
they are part of how systems hold together.

And maybe this is true for human communities too!

✨ Interdependence is not weakness.
✨ Connection is part of resilience.
✨ Collective life persists through reciprocity.

So perhaps the question is:

Could recognizing interdependence bring us closer to one another?

What if organization does not always begin with authority…but can emerge through shared responsibility?

In Part 1, we reflected on how diversity helps systems survive.Now we continue the question:

What helps different parts work together?

In nature, systems don’t always function because one leads.They often function through coordination, cooperation and distributed roles. 🌿

Different capacities can contribute to a shared whole.Participation is not the absence of structure.It can be another way of creating it.

And maybe this is true for human communities too!

✨ Self-organization is not disorder.
✨ Shared responsibility can sustain collective life.
✨ Cooperation may emerge through participation, not only authority.

So perhaps the question is:

Is cooperation something directed from above…or something that can grow from within?

What if diversity is not something systems manage…
but something they depend on?

As we prepare for «A Bug’s Life» Youth Exchange from we’re opening up some of the reflections shaping this journey.

In nature, systems don’t survive through sameness.
They survive through different roles, different abilities, different forms of contribution. 🌿

Difference is not a disruption to the system.
Difference is part of what makes the system possible.

And maybe this is true for human communities too!

✨ Diversity is not an add-on.
✨ It is a condition for resilience.
✨ It is what helps systems stay alive.

So perhaps the question is:

Is diversity something to accommodate… or something we depend on?

➡️ Που στοχεύει το πρόγραμμα; ⤵️
Το A Bug’s Life είναι ένα Youth Exchange που χρησιμοποιεί τον κόσμο των εντόμων για να εξερευνήσει έννοιες όπως η προκατάληψη, η ενσυναίσθηση πέρα από τον άνθρωπο (more-than-human empathy) και η ευθύνη μας απέναντι στα οικοσυστήματα.

Μέσα από non-formal learning θα δουλέψεις hands-on με εργαλεία όπως microscopes & citizen science, θα εξερευνήσεις πώς λειτουργούν τα οικοσυστήματα και θα δημιουργήσεις content που κάνει την επιστήμη accessible στην κοινότητα.

⚡ Με απλά λόγια: science, φύση, δημιουργία και νέοι τρόποι να βλέπεις τον κόσμο γύρω σου.

👀 Αναζητούμε 5 νέα άτομα 18-24 ετών άνετα με την κοινοτική ζωή σε φυσικό περιβάλλον, με βασικές γνώσεις αγγλικών και έτοιμα να συμμετέχουν ενεργά στις δραστηριότητες.

❗️Outdoor εμπειρία σε camping (με υποδομές για όλες τις καιρικές συνθήκες)
