🌍 Training the young generation of geologists is one of the priorities of International Union of Geological Sciences - IUGS! Last week We had the opportunity to organise a joint field sampling training event with the IUGS affiliated organisation Society for Environmental Geochemistry and Health - SEGH for the students of Earth Sciences and Environment MSc at Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών - University of Athens. The students received hands-on training on sampling techniques for rock, soil, stream water, active stream sediment and overbank sediment. Thank you all for your participation 🌍

We all thank Paula Adánez Sanjuan (Scientific Secretary) for its compilation. Apart from reporting the Commission's 2025 annual activities, Paula got in touch with all national and continental block representatives to submit their annual reports. We thank all colleagues for submitting their annual reports, because this is the only way to inform our global applied geochemistry community of the work carried out in each continental block!
