Space Situational Awareness ( ) is critical to avoiding collisions, ensuring mission success, and keeping outer space safe and sustainable. However, achieving true space safety requires open standards.
The Libre Space Foundation has designed and developed SIDLOC. Built as an ESA - European Space Agency)- funded ARTES activity, SIDLOC provides a proposed standard for satellite and spacecraft identification and localization to make orbit safer for everyone.
