Hellenic Chinese Culture Association (HCCA) is a non-profit Chinese traditional culture organization based in Greece, with the following main purpose:

1) To provide a platform for the lovers of Chinese traditional culture in Greece to get access to various aspects of Chinese culture including Chinese martial arts, Chinese traditional music, Chinese language, Chinese tea, Chinese medicine, Chines

e costume, etc., so as to let them get to know authentic Chinese traditional culture;

2) To promote authentic Chinese traditional culture in Greece and deepen the mutual understanding between Greek and Chinese people;

3) To build a bridge for the cultural communication between Chinese and Greece cultural circles, so as to raise the understanding and awareness of Chinese culture in Greece.

The lecture will be given by Miao Bin entitled “Drama in Education: From Nafplio to Chengdu”. Miao Bin graduated from the MA in Drama and Performing Arts in Education and Lifelong Learning from the Department of Theatre Studies, University of Peloponnese, and is now a PhD candidate in the same Department. After his graduation, he went back to Chengdu city, the hometown of panda in West China, and was invited to be a drama teacher in the primary school.

He was the first one to make drama education as a compulsory discipline in primary school in Chengdu, and even further, he is now the head of Arts Education team of Tianfu No.7 High School and leading the teachers of music, fine arts, dance and drama to build integrated art curriculum. He is the founder of Drama Edcuation Research Center of Tianfu No.7 High School, and a member of International Drama/Theatre and Education Association and Hellenic Theatre Education Network. In the past three years, he implemented what he learnt in Nafplio to his teaching in Chinese schools, and has become a well-known drama teacher in China. He is now teaching at the same time in primary school, high school and universities. For more about him, please check: www.miaobin.net.

In this lecture, as a Chinese student studying theatre in Greece, he will share his experiences and practices both in Greece and China, and the connections between the two countries through drama education.

* Introduction of the college

The College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University is a comprehensive art institute approved by the Chengdu Municipal People's government. It is established to actively integrate into the national "Belt and Road" construction, vigorously demonstrating the charm of Sichuan culture while expanding international cultural exchanges, in the vision of building a world-famous city with cultural and creative industries. Based on the art education experience at Chengdu University, the College operates per the new system and mechanism and has relatively independent operation autonomy. The College is also a critical cultural and educational project supported by Chengdu city.

College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts consists of 4 units of teaching departments: School of Fine Arts and Design, School of Music and Dance, School of Film and Animation, and International Department. More than 3600 full-time students, including 400 international students. The College has nine undergraduate majors, including animation, visual communication design, product design, radio & television editing, qualified as Five-Star-Level majors in China. The College is also qualified to grant a master's degree in design, fine art, music performance, radio, and television.

* Application

1. Applicants are required to register online, complete all registration information and submit relevant materials per the requirements.

2. Online registration period: January 1st, 2024 - June 1st, 2024. Online registration is available 24 hours a day.

3. The applicant should log on to the website https://admissions.cdu.edu.cn/ within the specified registration time and register per the corresponding instructions.

* Scholarship

Scholarships are mainly used to finance student tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Chengdu ASEAN Art Scholarship

The "Chengdu ASEAN Art Scholarship" is used to reward outstanding international students from ASEAN countries, other countries along with the "Belt and Road", European and American countries, and sister cities of Chengdu who have received undergraduate and higher education in art majors in municipal universities.

Undergraduates: 30,000 RMB per year
Postgraduates: 36,000 RMB per year
