Wie geeft kleine Elias een gouden mandje? 🐾

Toen hij tijdens een brute hittegolf op straat werd gevonden in een kattenkolonie, was dit kleine kereltje huid en been en kampte hij met ernstige tachypneu. Hem terugsturen naar straat was nooit een optie. Hij heeft dagenlang gevochten voor zijn leven in de kliniek, en omdat hij een echte vechter is, heeft hij het gered!

Elias zit momenteel in een opvanggezin en is een droom: ongelooflijk aanhankelijk, dol op knuffels en speeltijd, en hij spint super hard. Hij zou het geweldig doen in een huis met een andere jonge kat of een speels kitten als metgezel.

On International Cat Day, the internet is full of cute videos, purring pets, and cozy nap spots. And our rescued ones are living proof of how sweet that ending can be.

But behind every cute photo, there is a very different reality just outside our doors.

While some cats wake up to full bowls and safety, others wake up dodging cars, searching for scraps, fighting infections, and hiding from the elements. Street life isn't romantic it’s survival.

Real cat welfare isn't just about sharing cute pictures today. It’s about doing the unglamorous work 365 days a year: trapping and neutering, treating the sick, feeding the forgotten, and pushing for actual responsibility instead of abandonment.

If you love cats, look past the cute filters. Feed a stray, support local rescues, and if you can, adopt instead of buying.

When he was found on the pavement in a cat colony during a brutal heatwave, this tiny boy was skin and bones and struggling with severe tachypnea. Returning him to the street was never an option. He spent days fighting for his life in the clinic, and because he is a true fighter, he made it!
Elias is currently in foster care, and he is a dream: incredibly affectionate, loves cuddles and playtime, and purrs super loudly. He would thrive best in a home with another young cat or a playful kitten companion.

Meet Sonia, a little survivor with a heart full of hope! 🐾🖤

This beautiful 3-4month old girl was rescued from a very scary situation she was found trapped inside a car engine. Because of this traumatic experience, she is currently quite shy and a little fearful. She is looking for a patient, loving human who will give her the time and space she needs to learn that she is finally safe and loved.

We promise that with love and patience, she will blossom into the most loyal companion. She has already taken her first big steps toward a new life: she is fully dewormed and has received her first vaccination.

Sisyphus Akira

He fell from the heights, a terrible drop, With a broken back, he’d never hop. Abandoned and left in a world of pain, He dragged his legs through the sun and rain.

They named him Sisyphus, for the weight he bore, A struggling stone, forevermore. Through shadows unseen, and a heart so brave, He climbed the mountain, wave after wave.

He learned how to walk, a wobbly dance, Defying the odds, taking the chance. He showed us all how a warrior fights, Reaching for grace in the darkest of nights.

But even the strongest must rest at last, When the final shadows are overcast. He succumbed to the gravity, heavy and deep, And closed his eyes in an endless sleep.

No more the climb, no more the steep hill, Only a peace, profound and still. Akira, the brave, in a story so grand, Has found his heaven in a far, cold land.

Meet Loulou a beautiful 1.5-year-old female cat currently in foster care in Athens only until Saturday. After that, she will have nowhere to go.

Loulou was born on the streets and was spayed through our rescue efforts. One afternoon, we found her close to death and rushed her to the clinic immediately. After many hospitalizations and a long recovery, she is finally healthy again and now searching for her forever home or even a temporary foster/adoption opportunity.

She is incredibly friendly, calm, affectionate, and fully litter trained. 💛

Γνωρίστε τον Μάρκο, ένα γλυκό αγοράκι μόλις 2,5 μηνών! Το όνομά του το πήρε από τη γιορτή της ημέρας που διασώθηκε, σαν ένας μικρός οιωνός για τη νέα του ζωή.

​Ο Μάρκος βρέθηκε σε έναν πολύ κεντρικό δρόμο στο Ζεφύρι, σε απελπιστική κατάσταση. Όπως φαίνεται και στη φωτογραφία, τα ματάκια του ήταν εντελώς φουσκωμένα και ερεθισμένα από σοβαρή μόλυνση. 🥺

​Μετά από επίσκεψη στον κτηνίατρο και πολλή φροντίδα, τα ματάκια του έχουν επανέλθει πλήρως! Είναι πλέον ένα υγιέστατο και πανέμορφο γατάκι.
