How can municipalities manage facilities effectively while facing increasing operational and financial constraints?

At FM Day 2026, we welcome , Mayor of the Municipality of Agioi Anargyroi – Kamatero.

Stavros Tsirmpas is a Greek local government official and Mayor of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero. He holds a degree in Public Administration from Panteion University and has worked professionally in the fields of economics and business. He was elected Municipal Councilor of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero in 2010 and served for two consecutive terms. In 2019, he was elected Mayor of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero for the first time at the age of 34, receiving 55% of the vote in the second round of the local elections. In the 2023 local elections, he was re-elected from the first round with 64% of the vote.



During his mayoral term, several urban redevelopment projects were carried out, along with upgrades to school facilities and sports infrastructure, as well as energy-efficiency improvements to municipal buildings. These initiatives also included the acquisition and transfer to the municipality of public spaces, such as the site of the former OSE depot. At the same time, measures were implemented to strengthen the municipality’s financial management and internal control mechanisms.



Since 2023, he has served as President of the ASDA. He also participates in local government collective bodies as a member of the PEDA and the KEDE. Since 2019, he has also been a member of the management body of the Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park.

In 2018, he co-founded moralius.com with the vision of creating a next-generation FM software platform for providers worldwide. Prior to Manifest, he spent 9 years in the IT industry leading major technology projects in Greece.

• Christina Alexandropoulou - Alexander, CFPS, M.IPSA, F.ISRM – Board Member of IFMA Greece, strategic risk and resilience executive, and lecturer at Democritus University of Thrace. Antonis Papafragas is the Managing Director of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions for Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria, and Vice President of IFMA Greece. With 27 years in Facility Management — spanning Johnson Controls and CBRE — he leads a €30M revenue, 70+ person operation serving Fortune 500 clients across three countries. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Michalis Chalaris from Democritus University of Thrace - (D.U.Th.) to FM Day 2026.

Dr. Michalis Halaris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Democritus University of Thrace and a retired Lieutenant General of the Hellenic Fire Corps. He combines academic expertise with 26 years of operational experience in crisis management and high-risk incidents — from frontline response to strategic decision-making.



He has served as Special Secretary at the Labor Inspectorate Body and currently acts as Director of Research on risk, hazards, crises, and security issues at the officially established “Hephaestus” Laboratory. At the same time, he is the Director of the postgraduate program “Chemical Industry: Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Management” (MSc in Quality, Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental Management), a program designed to bridge academic knowledge with the real-world needs of both the private and public sectors.



He participates in and coordinates European projects and provides consulting support to public and private organizations on issues related to Civil Protection, Industrial Safety, and Technological Accidents, with a strong emphasis on prevention, preparedness, and accountability.

In his session, “Beyond Compliance to Crisis Readiness: From Risk Identification to Holistic Safety Leadership in Complex Facilities”, he will explore the evolving role of safety leadership and preparedness in today’s complex environments.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Jean-Pierre Segers, co-Director of Brains & Trees and Qualified Instructor at IFMA as a speaker at FM Day 2026.

Prof. Dr. Jean-Pierre Segers holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Management from the Université de Liège (Belgium). He is professor of innovation management at Hasselt University (Belgium), a former visiting professor at Riga Technical University (Latvia) and expert of the Latvian Council of Science. He is also affiliated with Université de Liège (HEC Management School) in Belgium. He is the honorary dean of business from PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where is founded StudentStartUP.



Jean-Pierre is the co-founder/owner of Brains & Trees and SV.BC. He holds the Certified Facilitator of Training certification, as well as IFMA’s Facility Management Professional FMP™ and Sustainability Facility Professional SFP™ credentials.



Jean-Pierre (co-)authored numerous scientific journal papers, book chapters and conference proceedings, next to delivering keynotes and international conference presentations. His industry and research interests include facility management, sustainability, (open) innovation, business models, new technologies, healthcare innovation and biopharma.

We are delighted to welcome Lorena Espada, MFM, SFP from SGS to FM Day 2026.

Senior Corporate Real Estate professional with extensive experience supporting FM operations in EMEA, and Global delivery of international strategic Real Estate and workplace programs including global portfolio management, optimization, and consolidation; integrated workplace design; workplace technology implementations; and Workplace and FM Services contract negotiation & management.

Lorena has held several international Real estate and FM leadership positions with responsibility in multiple countries and managing annual budgets of over 200M€, achieving large savings and high internal client satisfaction.

She was the first woman in IFMA´s Spanish Chapter to be the Chair of the Board, during the period 2019-2021, after 6 years on the chapter board and has also held a position as Director of IFMA´s Global Board on a 3-year term, from July 2022 to June 2025.

In her session, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the center of the office design”, she will explore how workplace design can foster inclusion, belonging and better employee experience.
