The K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) is pleased to update that its construction of a 3-in-1 Classroom Project at Gumine Junior High School is progressing exceptionally well, with construction now 80% complete. 👷🏽‍♂️🔨

This project demonstrates what can be achieved when leaders, communities, and development partners unite behind a shared vision of expanding educational opportunities for our young people. Together, we are investing in spaces where future leaders, professionals, and change-makers will learn, grow, and thrive. 🇵🇬

On behalf of the community, school and the people of Gumine, we extend heartfelt appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. John Rosso, whose generous funding support enable this Project. We also value the trust of the Deputy Prime Minister in KSF to deliver the project!

Your commitment to improving educational infrastructure and investing in the future of Gumine and Papua New Guinea’s children is deeply valued. 🙏🏽

We also acknowledge and thank the project leadership of Deputy Chairman Mr Robert K**a, supported by Chairman Mr Arre K**a, and the dedication and commitment of the school administration, staff, school Board and the builders, volunteers and support team.💙

Gratitude also to the wider Sa-Mian-Golin community for their cooperation, encouragement, and sense of ownership throughout the implementation of this project. It is through these strong partnerships that lasting impact is achieved. 🤝🏽

As the finishing touches are put in place, we eagerly look forward to the official opening and handover of these new classrooms in the near future.

This project joins other education infrastructure initiatives delivered by KSF, including Library and Resource Centres at Digine High School and KumaiBomai Junior High School, reflecting our continued commitment to building brighter futures through education. 📚🏗️✨

Together, and with visionary support like the Deputy Prime Minister, we can all join hands in building the future — one classroom, one school, and one child at a time. 🇵🇬

3-in-1 CLASSROOM COMPLEX: GUMINE, SIMBU PROVINCE

The K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) is delighted to deliver the construction of this important project underway at Gumine Primary School — a modern 3-in-1 classroom complex that will house Home Economics, a Science Laboratory, and Technology facilities under one roof.

This project comes at a particularly timely moment, as Gumine Primary School is set to be promoted to a Junior High School next year. The new complex will provide a significant boost to the school’s infrastructure and greatly strengthen its capacity to deliver quality education at the next level.

We join with the people of Gumine in expressing our sincere appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. John Rosso, for funding this significant initiative. We are equally honoured that Hon. Rosso has entrusted KSF with the responsibility of delivering this project.

KSF is named after Mr K**a Kuman, a respected interpreter (Tanim Tok) during the colonial era who worked closely with Hon. Rosso in his early days as a kiap, serving the people of Gumine District. It is therefore deeply meaningful to see this historic relationship of trust and service continuing — now focused on empowering the next generation through education.

We look forward to the successful completion of the project. We extend our sincere gratitude to the hardworking building team, led by KSF Executives Mr Robert K**a and Mr Arre K**a, as well as to the school administration, staff, and the local community for their strong support and commitment to making this project a reality.

This project represents not just infrastructure, but opportunity, growth, and long-term investment in the future of Gumine District and the Nation!

While Christmas is holiday time, K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) continues its work on the ground with a Youth Rehabilitation, Counselling and Empowerment Program currently taking place at Minima Village, Gumine District.

This Christmas–New Year program began on Friday night 26 December and will continue every night through to Wednesday 31 December. Public resolutions on substantancw abuse and law and order, ect will be made, followed by a Youth Empowerment Program after New Year, focusing on life skills, hands-on agricultural training, and animal care for self-sustaining livelihoods and future commercial benefits.

🌱 Program highlights so far include:
• Nightly sessions with 3–4 guest speakers addressing youth attitude change and the dangers of toxic substance use
• Guest speakers include the Gumine Police Station Commander, CIS Commander, Medical Officer (Gumine Health Centre), pastors including Min. Simau, community leaders, and parents. Village elders give “Hausman Talks” to youths on community life, leadership and social expectations ect.
• Inspiring contributions from Kaleku clan elites such as Mr John Kabia (UPNG Accounting Graduate) and Mr Hubert Hereba (PAU Graduate), who challenged their own brothers and sisters to change —

Community leaders and parents have expressed their deep appreciation to KSF for this timely intervention to empower and guide our youths and children.

🧹 Today’s big clean-up drive saw youths rise early to:
• Collect rubbish
• Fill potholes
• Sweep the marketplace

📍 Today: Clean-up from Minima to Wara Sible Bridge
📍 Tomorrow: Gumine Station area.

This is what Christmas in action looks like — leading, serving and seeing change.

KSF is honoured to initiate this community event through the leading of our Deputy Chairman, Mr Robert K**a. We wish the community the very best in this important community-change initiative.

A Prosperous New Year 2026 to All!

KSF Support with Solar Lighting – Mondia Health Centre, Gembogl District, Simbu Province
*******
K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) was honoured to stand with the people of Mondia in Gembogl District, at the foot of Mt Wilhelm, to celebrate the opening of the newly built SDA Aid Post Health Clinic. As part of this occasion, KSF donated solar lighting equipment and a wall clock.

These may be small contributions, but they are critical to the delivery of medical care—particularly for maternity services, where labour and childbirth in remote health centres too often take place under torchlight. Access to quality healthcare is vital for remote communities and remains a priority area for KSF, and we are pleased to offer our support.

The aid post staff and community members expressed their heartfelt thanks to KSF through Deputy Chairman Mr Robert K**a. We were also honoured by the presence of church and community leaders, who acknowledged KSF’s contribution and ongoing work in other Districts.

We wish the Mondia community every success and good health.
