🛠️ KSF Infrastructure Support to Yani SDA Headquarters and Solar Lighting-up Boromil Junction 💡✨Gumine District, Simbu Province
⸻

K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) is pleased to partner with the Yani District Headquarters of the South Simbu SDA community to install its new signboard, which had remained in storage for more than three years. ⛪

At the same time, KSF has installed solar lighting at Boromil Junction, providing much-needed light in three directions of the community — towards the school, the church and the wider community.

As community leaders highlighted in their speeches, the lighting will also create a safer and more welcoming space for mothers and others who use the junction for small market activities and security. 👩🏽‍🌾

The installation of the new Yani SDA Church signboard is particularly meaningful. Designed by the Eastern Highlands–Simbu Mission headquarters, the signboard had been in storage due to resource constraints. KSF is able to intervene under its Church Support Program.

We thank the community, church leaders, youths and technical people who contributed their time and labour, and everyone who helped make this project possible. The messages from the leaders were clear: infrastructure must not only be built, but protected, maintained and looked after for the benefit of the whole community. 🤝🏽

You can watch the speeches and messages from community leaders in the clips below.👇🏽

Special thanks to Mr Robert K**a, KSF Deputy Chairman, for leading this project.

We wish all much blessings!

3-in-1 CLASSROOM COMPLEX: GUMINE, SIMBU PROVINCE

The K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) is delighted to deliver the construction of this important project underway at Gumine Primary School — a modern 3-in-1 classroom complex that will house Home Economics, a Science Laboratory, and Technology facilities under one roof.

This project comes at a particularly timely moment, as Gumine Primary School is set to be promoted to a Junior High School next year. The new complex will provide a significant boost to the school’s infrastructure and greatly strengthen its capacity to deliver quality education at the next level.

We join with the people of Gumine in expressing our sincere appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. John Rosso, for funding this significant initiative. We are equally honoured that Hon. Rosso has entrusted KSF with the responsibility of delivering this project.

KSF is named after Mr K**a Kuman, a respected interpreter (Tanim Tok) during the colonial era who worked closely with Hon. Rosso in his early days as a kiap, serving the people of Gumine District. It is therefore deeply meaningful to see this historic relationship of trust and service continuing — now focused on empowering the next generation through education.

We look forward to the successful completion of the project. We extend our sincere gratitude to the hardworking building team, led by KSF Executives Mr Robert K**a and Mr Arre K**a, as well as to the school administration, staff, and the local community for their strong support and commitment to making this project a reality.

This project represents not just infrastructure, but opportunity, growth, and long-term investment in the future of Gumine District and the Nation!

KSF Support with Solar Lighting – Mondia Health Centre, Gembogl District, Simbu Province
*******
K**a Scholars Foundation (KSF) was honoured to stand with the people of Mondia in Gembogl District, at the foot of Mt Wilhelm, to celebrate the opening of the newly built SDA Aid Post Health Clinic. As part of this occasion, KSF donated solar lighting equipment and a wall clock.

These may be small contributions, but they are critical to the delivery of medical care—particularly for maternity services, where labour and childbirth in remote health centres too often take place under torchlight. Access to quality healthcare is vital for remote communities and remains a priority area for KSF, and we are pleased to offer our support.

The aid post staff and community members expressed their heartfelt thanks to KSF through Deputy Chairman Mr Robert K**a. We were also honoured by the presence of church and community leaders, who acknowledged KSF’s contribution and ongoing work in other Districts.

We wish the Mondia community every success and good health.
