PLO LUMUMBA FOUNDATION GAMBIA CHAPTER HOLDS SUCCESSFUL FIRST SESSION OF LEADERSHIP TRAINING

The PLO Lumumba Foundation – Gambia Chapter, in collaboration with the Global Platform UTG Chapter, successfully held the first session of its Leadership Training today at the ActionAid Hall.

The session brought together youths and emerging leaders for interactive discussions on leadership skills, civic consciousness, and transformational ideas for societal development. Participants showed strong engagement and enthusiasm throughout the training.

The successful first session reflects the commitment of both organizations to empowering young people and building responsible, informed future leaders. The training is expected to continue with more sessions as scheduled.

We thank all participants, facilitators, and partners for their support and active participation.

Earlier today, the foundation joined its fellow organizations in the Inter-Organisational Cleaning Exercise from Westfield to Pipeline, representing. It was a successful initiative, bringing together young people in service of a cleaner and healthier environment.

We are delighted to share the exciting news that the PLO Foundation Gambia Chapter, represented by Jarrie Jawla and Alieu Darboe, has advanced to the finals of the International Quiz Competition.

This journey began with strong participation from Gambia, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Ghana. After a highly competitive contest, the finalists have been determined: Gambia, Ethiopia, and Uganda.

Reaching this stage is a proud moment for us as a team and a nation. We extend our gratitude to all our supporters, mentors, and partners whose encouragement has been a driving force in this achievement.

Preparing for the final round, we remain committed to giving our best, carrying the Gambian flag high, and making our country proud on the international stage.
