It is prudent to recognize that MIDSA has core intend areas which indeed define the core intervention areas of its strategic initiatives. Among host of intervention that MIDSA appreciates as critical activities to achieving its corporate objectives include; shaping talented youths to become successful entrepreneurs and acquired livelihood skills. Also provide seed monies to youth groups after undergoing trainings in different disciplines. Health is also a very key intervention for this organization, in these intervention children and their mothers are the interest target groups. Reducing infant mortality and morbidity forms the basis for this intervention. MIDSA upholds its value with no compromised to negating these norms as enshrine in her constitution. Partnership and collaboration forms corner stone as it endeavors to forge and establish long lasting relationship with likeminded organization that works in similar arena. MIDSA is also with the view to mobilize grants through collaborative efforts and thus have the capacity to be a sub-recipient of Grants for implementation purpose. The principles and values of MIDSA is what holds members to unite for professionalism and focused on quality programming with the view to changing the lives of children, families and communities we pledged to serve. MIDSA has highly qualified staffs that have wealth of experience in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This has made the organization to withstand and have the capacity to undertake any program implementation for development purpose. Because of the multi- faceted nature of its staff composition has made it a well place civil society organization with a robust and season staffs who at all-time are with the commitment to move the organization forward considering the interest of the people we serve. Youth employment is also critical in MIDSA’s strategy. It is part and parcel of its intention to creating and enabling environment which promotes youth employment for economic growth. To achieve this objective, MIDSA has a tailor made programs that are designed to suit the youth folk that are targeted in this program. Finally, agriculture remains to be the bedrock for sustainability for women empowerment. This would be used as a strategy to enhanced food security and thus utilized the excess proceed to take care of children’s school fees as a sustainable mechanism for income generation and food self-sufficiency. This will be the driving force to engage women in a quality intervention and sustainable programs. MIDSA
will run poultry keeping and animal husbandry programs thus to provide both eggs and meat to the general public with affordable prices. This organization will acquire lands for extensive rice production with the use of machines so that our intention of providing food to the Gambian can be achieved. MIDSA will revive women gardens and teach women on modern gardening techniques.
