GASAN was honored to be represented at the Women and Children Aid the Gambia Children and Youth Summer Camp 2026, held from 2nd–11th August at Batokunku Coconut Lodge.

The 10-day camp was filled with learning, leadership, advocacy, mental health, child protection, gender-based violence awareness, career guidance, public speaking, climate action, and more. Participants also built confidence, creativity, teamwork, and resilience through Talent Night, Cultural Day, and a challenging 12km adventure walk.

The camp concluded with the presentation of certificates and awards, as well as the selection of Child and Youth Ambassadors.

We are grateful to WOCAG for creating such a meaningful platform for children and young people to learn, connect, lead, and grow.

GASAN, in partnership with Sunu Reew Medical Mission and University of the Gambia Medical Students Association - Unigamsa, successfully organized an impactful Autism Awareness Educational Session! The event brought together different participants and parents to foster understanding, promote inclusion, and share valuable insights about autism. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions, learned about early intervention, and explored ways to support individuals with autism in our community. We are proud of this collaborative effort to raise awareness and create a more inclusive environment for everyone. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to making this event a great success!
