MEET THE MAN BEHIND LCOY The Gambia 2026 MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS

Daaudaa Manneh Mané, our Founder and Executive Director, led Media and Communications at the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change (LCOY The Gambia) 2026.

In his role as Lead Media and Communications, he implemented strategic communication plans, managed digital content platforms, and shared essential information with 250 delegates, partners, and the public, ensuring the conference's success.

Beyond his work with LCOY, Dawda's dedication spans key areas of impact:

Humanitarian & Orphan Support: Through his foundation, Nyancho Orphan Foundation-Gambia, he helps orphans and underserved children access education, supplies, clothing, and food.

Climate Justice: As an activist, he advocates for environmental fairness and youth-led climate initiatives.

As the Gambian academic year approaches, preparations are underway for school resumption on September 21, 2026. For many families, this period represents a time of renewal and potential. However, for orphans and less privileged children within our community, the transition back to the classroom presents significant structural and financial hurdles. The cost of basic enrollment essentials can become a major barrier to consistent school attendance and academic engagement.

When children lack standard uniforms, footwear, or writing materials, they face more than just physical shortages. These gaps can lead to feelings of exclusion and hinder their ability to participate fully alongside their peers.

HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED:

1. Tailored School Uniform $15.00 (1,050 GMD) Provides standard school attire, fostering a sense of belonging and community integration.

2. Durable School Bag $10.00 (700 GMD) Allows children to transport their books and learning supplies safely, protecting resources from seasonal weather.

3. Notebooks & Writing Materials $5.00 (350 GMD) Supplies a complete set of exercise books, pens, pencils, and mathematical sets required for daily coursework.

4. STURDY SCHOOL SHOES $15.00 (1,050 GMD) Ensures comfortable, safe travel to and from school, protecting students on their daily commute.

5. FULL EDUCATIONAL PACKAGE $45.00 (3,150 GMD) Equips one student with all necessary physical resources for the entire academic year.

NYANCHO ORPHAN FOUNDATION GAMBIA RECEIVED FOUR CARTONS FILLED WITH CLOTHES AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.

On 11th July 2026, Nyancho Orphan Foundation Gambia received another donation from our generous friends in the US to distribute among our orphans and children in need. NOFG is a non-governmental, youth-led, community-based organisation dedicated to addressing urgent challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children, including limited access to education, clothing, food, and healthcare. We believe that every child should have equal opportunities regardless of their economic background, nationality, race, or gender.

We would like to thank all our generous donors for their ongoing support of NOFG in our mission to uplift and empower the next generation of leaders.
