YOUTH DIALOG TO COMMEMORATE THE 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE ADOPTION OF THE AFRICAN CHARTER –SIDE EVENT
On the 8th April, 2016 , the Human Rights Institute of South Africa (HURISA) as a Member of the State of the Union (SOTU), a Coalition of African Civil Society Organizations, in collaboration with the Youth Alliance-The Gambia (YAG) African Youth Panel, National Youth Council of The Gambia (NYC), African Centre on Democracy and Human Rights Studies and UN West Africa, held dialogue on African Youth Charter on the margins of the 58th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights on 8 April 2016, in Banjul, The Gambia. The 1 day dialogue provides a multi-stakeholder platform which includes young people from across the African continent to critically evaluate and discuss the impact, gains and challenges of the African Youth Charter (AYC) with regard to improving the human rights of young people across Africa.
