Dear ARMEXSA Comrades,

We are pleased to introduce the members of the Electoral Commission who will spearhead the transition of power from the Interim Executive Council to the next Executive of the Armitage Ex-Students' Association (ARMEXSA). This transition marks a significant milestone in our revitalization efforts to continue advancing the affairs of the alumni community.

The Electoral Commission members are:
• Abdoulie Saidykhan (Class of 2018) - Chairperson
- Modou Lamin Sidibeh (Class of 2016) - Vice Chairperson
- Kassa Bah (Class of 2021) - Secretary General

The Commission will be responsible for coordinating the transition process, ensuring diligence and transparency throughout. We encourage all alumni to familiarize themselves with these individuals and participate in the transitional process. We also invite interested members to submit their expressions of interest for portfolios in the next Executive Council.

CONGRESS NOTICE📣

Issued: 15 March, 2026.

Dear Esteemed Members of ARMEXSA,

It is with a sense of fulfillment and solemnity that the Interim Executive Council of the Armitage Ex-Students Association writes to convene all members for a Congress scheduled for the 5th April 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Gambia College, Brikama Campus.

As part of our primary mandate, we were tasked with revitalizing and unifying the ex-student body of Armitage under one umbrella a year ago, to create a vibrant, reliable, and productive alumni community. At that, we are pleased to inform you that the Interim ExCo has fulfilled this task, and now wishes to return the Association to its members—empowering them to take responsibility and build upon our progress.

This Congress aims to serve as a gathering where the Interim Council will report on its activities, present its financial report, facilitate discussions to update members on the Association's status, and pave the way for the incoming executive body.

ARMEXSA has long been a strong pillar of the school, and we urge you all to continue being punctual and proactive in giving back to the school that nurtured us. We extend our gratitude for your support and participation over the years and encourage your continued cooperation as we host this significant event.

The success of this Congress relies on your presence; we therefore invite you to attend in numbers, just as you have pledged financial support recently, to shape the future of ARMEXSA and make it more vibrant, proactive, and functional.

Giving back to Armitage is a cause we must all partake in, as it has shaped us into who we are today.

Thus, we solicit your continued cooperation and availability at the Congress to discuss matters that will further enhance ARMEXSA's greatness, vibrancy, and prosperity.

THE OFFICE OF THE IPRO, ARMEXSA'S INTERIM EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

ARMEXSA: GIVING BACK TO OUR ALMA MATER

On Saturday 7 March 2025, the Armitage Ex-Students Association (ARMEXSA) presented Iftar items and dining plates to the administration of Armitage Senior Secondary School as a gesture of support during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative reflects the Association’s continued commitment to strengthening the bond among former students and contributing to the welfare of their alma mater.

The donation was made possible through an emergency fundraising campaign initiated by the Association’s executive, with generous contributions from former students of the school amounting to 17,000 GMD.

Items donated included 30 bags of vermicelli and 120 plates. The school administration had previously highlighted the persistent shortage of plates in the kitchen and dining hall, making the donation both timely and necessary.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Principal expressed appreciation to the Association and all contributors. He noted that many former students understand the school’s needs because they once experienced the same environment. He described the gesture as meaningful support to the administration and expressed hope that former students would continue to assist the school in various ways.

Speaking on behalf of the executive, the Treasurer explained that the donation was motivated by the urgent need for these items. He also thanked the school administration for consistently welcoming and supporting the activities of former students.

The Seyfo of the school also conveyed gratitude, stating that the gesture demonstrates not only the provision of food but also a sense of care and solidarity. He added that students look forward to graduating and joining the Association so they too can return and support the school in the future.

The interim executive of ARMEXSA extends heartfelt appreciation to the school administration and everyone who contributed in one way or another to make this successful.

Thank you!
