Swanmore Hoedown! 🤠🥳

Earlier this year, she gave birth to nine puppies. Sadly, four of them did not survive… 😞 Sony was very weak for quite a while afterwards, but thanks to care from Ousainou, our dog ambassador and a kind neighbour, she has now recovered and is doing really well again. 😊💛

We’ve had another busy week! 🐾🐕

Almost 60 dogs have been seen, nearly half of which have been treated for ear wounds or wounds elsewhere on the body. Thankfully, at the moment we don’t have any maggot wounds or severe cases… 🙏🤞

Seven dogs have had mango worms removed, and nine have been treated for skin issues. Sixteen rabies vaccinations were given last week 👍

Sadly, dogs involved in car accidents have almost become a weekly occurrence. We had two this week 😞. One sadly didn’t survive, and the other is currently being cared for at The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust…

Yesterday, we joined hands with The Monkey Girl school in Sambouyang for their "Caring for our Dogs" event. 🙏

Our Dog Rangers, Blaise and Ajie, led a session on the very basics of how to care for dogs. 🐕🐾A little knowledge goes a long way... 💚
