𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝

A first of its kind in The Gambia.
With funding from the European Union in The Gambia, CRS in close collaboration with the Gambia National Rehabilitation Center, Participant Assistive Products and the Gambia Federation of the Disabled implemented this landmark training under the EU Disability Inclusive Pathways Project bringing together 48 allied health professionals from major hospitals across the country.

Through the WHO Wheelchair Service Training Package, participants built practical skills in assessment, prescription, fitting, and follow-up, strengthening the delivery of quality, user-centered wheelchair services.

This marks a critical step toward improving independence, access, and dignity for persons with disabilities, while strengthening inclusive rehabilitation systems nationwide.

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), in collaboration with CRS in The Gambia is conducting a 10-day training on Incident Management Systems, AI forecasting, and ICT.

Anchored in CRS’s commitment to locally led disaster risk reduction, this initiative strengthens NDMA’s leadership in building smarter, faster, and more coordinated emergency responses, helping protect communities before disasters strike.

This effort reinforces a shared commitment to empowering national systems and advancing resilient, future-ready disaster management.

As we mark , we celebrate the power of nutrition to transform lives and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that no child learns on an empty stomach.

Through our school feeding program, over 17 million meals have been served to #63,000 children, helping them stay nourished, focused in class, and ready to build brighter futures.
