The pictures shown below are poor widows and families whose compounds are being destroyed by flooding and now living with neighbors as refugees or victims of disaster.
The foundation for Sustainable Livelihood Development The Gambia, in collaboration with local government authorities have conducted assessment on victims of disaster and designed a program of actions for both the victims and widows in order to mitigate their suffering, thus increasing their levels of earnings so that they can provide basic needs of their children without being necessarily dependent on external supports.
We're now looking for income generating startup capital from Donors, Government and private sector individuals to intervene in rescuing these women's from their problems.

This children are orphans and children at the risk of losing parental care. Majority of them are being sent out from schools because their parents are incapacitated to afford their educational requirements or bills successfully.
The foundation for Sustainable Livelihood Development The Gambia, had borrowed structures to teaching children on both Western and Quran education. Due to inadequacy in family meals, the children used to collect deposits of sand and sale it out to make a living.
