The Network of HR Professionals–The Gambia today paid a courtesy call on the Permanent Secretary, Personnel Management of Office (PMO) to explore opportunities for collaboration in advancing the HR profession and supporting national development.
It was a productive meeting, with discussions focused on establishing a formal working relationship between the Network and one of the largest employers in the country and key stakeholder. Key areas of collaboration included facilitating engagement and visibility, developing joint capacity-building initiatives, contributing to national HR policy discussions including identifying gaps in the Labour Act and exploring Government sponsorship of HR public servants to become members of the Network.
This engagement marks an important milestone in positioning the Network as a strategic partner in strengthening people management and human capital development in The Gambia.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Permanent Secretary Lamin Jawara, Deputy Permanent Secretary Musa Cham, Director Barrow and the team for the warm reception and we look forward to translating these discussions into meaningful action.
The network was represented by its Interim President Baboucarr Badjan, Vice President Alhagie Abubakar Darboe, General Secretary Baboucarr Ceesay and Fatou Khan, a member of the network.
