CorpsAfrica Regional Alumni Conference & Strategic Session: Strengthening the Senegal – Gambia Alumni Corridor!

As young people we are not waiting for the future, we are actively building it today.

The CorpsAfrica/Gambia Alumni Network was pleased to participate in the first edition of the CorpsAfrica Regional Alumni Conference in Thiès, Senegal, bringing together 40 alumni from CorpsAfrica/Senegal and 10 from CorpsAfrica/Gambia to strengthen regional connections, advance youth employability and foster entrepreneurship.

The conference created a valuable space for learning, collaboration and knowledge exchange, with key discussions around:

- Regional Integration: Strengthening connections along the Senegal – Gambia corridor.

- Employability & Entrepreneurship: CV optimisation, personal branding, the labour market and cross-border entrepreneurship.

- Alumni Strategy: Exploring opportunities including seed funding, scholarships, mentorship and future alumni initiatives.

For the CorpsAfrica/Gambia Alumni Network, the conference was an opportunity to connect, share experiences, explore new opportunities and strengthen collaboration across borders.

Our alumni are more than former Volunteers; they are leaders, innovators and agents of change contributing to their communities and building bridges across the region.

We extend our appreciation to all participating alumni, Abderrahim Boualy, Alumni Network Manager at CorpsAfrica GSO, the CorpsAfrica/Senegal Alumni Association for hosting us, and everyone who contributed to the success of this gathering.

Through this collaboration we are building a stronger, more connected and opportunity-driven Club des Alumni de CorpsAfrica/Sénégal and CorpsAfrica/Gambia Alumni Network.

When CorpsAfrica Alumni Redefine Their Regional Future!

General Theme: Strengthening regional ties, employability and entrepreneurship

As part of the rollout of the new Global Alumni Strategy (GSO) led by the CorpsAfrica Directorate, the CorpsAfrica Regional Alumni Conference & Strategic Session aims to bring together former Volunteer cohorts from Senegal and The Gambia.

The event will not only focus on the socio-professional integration of programme alumni, but will also provide an opportunity to hold a direct strategic consultation with the Alumni Manager to discuss the new objectives of the local chapters and establish the roadmap for the Alumni.

We celebrate our alumna Nyima Darboe for showcasing her entrepreneurial journey at the Skill Rise Youth Forum Edition 3.0, organized by the GAMBIA YOUTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE under the theme “From Skills to Enterprise: Driving Youth-Led Innovation and Economic Transformation.”
