Today, the Sanyang Village Development Committee (VDC) in collaboration with Omar Bojang (OB) and partners commenced the construction of four boreholes at the Sanyang Women’s Garden.

This important initiative aims to improve access to water for the women farmers, helping them strengthen their gardening activities and food production. Upon completion, the boreholes will be officially handed over to the community to ensure local ownership and sustainability.

The partners have also committed to supporting the maintenance of the boreholes and plan to install water pipelines across the entire garden so that all sections of the garden can have reliable water supply.

This effort will greatly contribute to empowering women farmers, improving agricultural productivity, and strengthening community resilience.
