Clean Earth Gambia honoured to the invitation of the Ministry of Environment-MECCNAR to attend the launching workshop of The Gambia’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Process under the Strengthening Adaptation Planning in The Gambia (SAP) project, represented by Matty Bah our climate and health officer.

The two-day workshop, organized with support from UN Environment Programme and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), brought together government institutions, development partners, NGOs, CSOs, and other stakeholders to strengthen climate adaptation planning and resilience-building efforts in The Gambia.

Discussions focused on strengthening climate risk information, mainstreaming adaptation into national planning and budgeting, enhancing institutional coordination, and building capacity for implementation and monitoring. The technical sessions also highlighted the importance of legal, financial, and institutional frameworks for effective adaptation action.

We commend MECCNAR, UNEP, GCF, and all stakeholders for their commitment to advancing inclusive and effective climate adaptation planning for a more resilient Gambia.

Clean Earth Gambia at the UNDP The Gambia Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Compliance Refresher Workshop!

We were honored to accept United Nations Development Programme - UNDP’s invitation to participate in this four-day workshop held at the African Princess Beach Hotel, Kololi (18th–21st May 2026), bringing together implementing partners and stakeholders from across The Gambia.

We were represented at both sessions by:

📅 Days 1 & 2 — Bah & Haddy Bojang
📅 Days 3 & 4 — Amadou Sallah Mickey & Muhammed Camara

Over the four days, our team deepened their knowledge and skills across key areas critical to our work:

✅ Results-Based Management (RBM) — Linking resources, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts to ensure accountability and measurable development results

✅ Monitoring for Development Results (MfDR) — Shifting from activity-based reporting to tracking meaningful, sustainable change in communities

✅ Inclusive Monitoring — Using disaggregated data, community participation, and gender-sensitive indicators to leave no one behind

✅ Effective Communication — Reporting not just on activities, but on real human impact, lessons learned, and development results

✅ HACT Compliance — Strengthening financial accountability, transparency, and proper documentation in line with UNDP and UN agency requirements

✅ Results-Based Reporting — Producing evidence-based, outcome-focused reports that drive informed decision making

We believe this training will enhance accountability, transparency and evidence-based programming as we continue our mission for climate justice and environmental sustainability.!

A huge thank you to UNDP and the facilitators for an engaging and impactful four days!
