📢 Applications now open: Free online training in cardiovascular disease research

The CARisSA Project, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research, is pleased to launch a free eight-week online course: Cardiovascular Research in Sub-Saharan Africa: Epidemiology, Health Systems and Clinical Trials.”

The course is delivered through a collaboration with - Wellcome Trust Research Programme), in partnership with IDeAL, PASCAR, the Kenya Cardiac Society, the Cardiac Society of The Gambia, and the Science for Africa Foundation.

The weekly live sessions will cover:

🔹 Fundamentals of epidemiology and biostatistics for hypertension research
🔹 Key concepts in health systems
🔹 Fundamentals of clinical trials

Within the application form:

🔹A brief statement (maximum 200 words) explaining why this course is relevant to your work to be emailed to [email protected]
🔹A one-page curriculum vitae (CV)
🔹A letter of support from your institution confirming support for your participation in the course; provision of protected time to attend the live sessions throughout the eight-week programme
