Yesterday was truly special as we spent Workers Day (May Day) with the amazing female inmates.
The day was filled with warmth, laughter and togetherness. They cooked a delicious pot of egusi soup, which we all enjoyed as a symbol of unity and shared experience.
Later, the atmosphere came alive with fun and excitement as we organized various sporting activities, including tug of war, musical chairs and the ever-entertaining potato race. The joy, teamwork and energy displayed were simply inspiring! π
Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection, empowerment and creating spaces where everyone can feel valued and included.
Immense gratitude to the The Gambia Prison Service for once again giving us the opportunity to do this event with the female inmates.
Special thanks to Monique of Stichting Gambia Geven met Liefde for contributing to the success of this event.
