Today marks exactly one year since the tragic Adansi Helicopter Clash on 6th August, 2025. The Yendi Youth Parliament (YYP) joins the entire nation in solemn remembrance of the dedicated public servants and brave military personnel we lost on that fateful day.

Today, the Yendi Youth Parliament had the honour of leading a delegation from the Youth Parliament Ghana to the Gbewaa Palace to pay a courtesy call on the N-yab Kampakoya Naa, the Regent of Dagbaŋ.

The visit was a moment of respect and engagement, reaffirming the importance of preserving our rich cultural heritage while strengthening the relationship between traditional leadership and youth leadership. We are grateful for the warm reception and the wise words shared with us.

As young leaders, we remain committed to working with our traditional authorities to promote peace, unity, development, and active youth participation in nation-building.

Appreciation to the Department of Agriculture, Yendi Municipality

The Yendi Youth Parliament extends its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Yabdoo Issahaku and Mr. Mumuni Abdul Hafiz of the Department of Agriculture, Yendi Municipality for dedicating their time and expertise to our ongoing radio education series throughout the month of July.

Your insightful discussions on fertilizer and soil nutrient management, pest, disease and w**d management, and climate adaptation practices have equipped our farmers with practical knowledge to improve crop management and build resilience in the face of changing climatic conditions.

Your commitment to educating and empowering our farming communities reflects the vital role agricultural extension officers play in promoting food security and sustainable agriculture.
We sincerely appreciate your partnership and willingness to share your expertise with our listeners. We look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future for the benefit of the people of Yendi.

Today, the Yendi Youth Parliament-YYP successfully commenced Youth Month with a clean-up exercise at the historic Gbewaa Palace, in collaboration with the National Youth Authority – Yendi.

Coming a day after the installation of N-yab Kampakuya Naa as the Regent of Dagbon, this exercise reflected our commitment to community service, environmental responsibility, and respect for our rich cultural heritage.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all Honorable Members and volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to making this exercise a success.

Together, we are building a cleaner Yendi and a stronger community. 🌿🧹

Following today's historic installation of N-yab Kampakuya Naa as the Regent of Dagbon today, the Yendi Youth Parliament will tomorrow commence Youth Month with a clean-up exercise at the Gbewaa Palace.

In collaboration with the National Youth Authority – Yendi, we invite all to join us as we honour our rich cultural heritage through community service and environmental stewardship.

On behalf of the Yendi Youth Parliament-YYP, our Speaker, signed the Book of Condolence at the Gbewaa Palace today, in honor of the late Yaa-Naa Abukari II.

This gesture represents the collective voice of young people across Yendi, paying tribute to a leader who championed peace, unity, and the growth of Dagbon throughout his reign.

We join the Royal Family, Chiefs, Elders, and the people of Dagbon in mourning this profound loss.
