As the world observes the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Yendi Catholic Diocesan Development Organization (YECDADO) stands in solidarity with survivors and all who advocate for justice, equality, and protection.
This period reminds us that the fight against GBV is ongoing, not just today, not only within these 16 days, but every day. Women and girls deserve to live without fear, violence, or discrimination. Our communities thrive only when everyone is safe, respected, and empowered.
🟠 We advocate.
🟠 We educate.
🟠 We support survivors.
🟠 We stand for change.
Let us use this period to strengthen awareness, encourage reporting, challenge harmful attitudes, and take collective action to end gender-based violence once and for all.
YECDADO — promoting safety, dignity, and justice for all.

🌾 Happy Farmers Day! 🌾

On this Farmers Day, Yendi Catholic Diocesan Development Organization (YECDADO) celebrates the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our farmers, the backbone of our communities and the heart of our nation.

From sunrise to sunset, they nurture the land, sustain families, and contribute immensely to food security and development. Today, we honor their sacrifices and recognize their invaluable role in shaping a better future for all.

May our farmers continue to thrive, innovate, and receive the support they deserve, for where the earth is nurtured, life flourishes.
YECDADO stands with farmers today and always.

As part of the Upscaling of Child and Vulnerable Protection Initiatives in the Yendi Diocese Project, we have begun the formation and orientation of Child Rights Clubs in Yendi.

These clubs create a safe space where children learn about their rights, responsibilities, and how to protect themselves and their peers. They will soon be established across Wulensi, Tatale, and Saboba as well.

This initiative is proudly funded by Kindermissionswerk ‘Die Sternsinger’ and implemented by the Yendi Child and Vulnerable Protection Centre under YECADDO.

Together, we are empowering children and building a safer future for every child in our communities. 💛✨

✨ Launch of the Upscaling of Child and Vulnerable Protection Initiatives in the Catholic Diocese of Yendi ✨

Last week, the Yendi Child and Vulnerable Protection Centre, under the Catholic Diocese of Yendi, officially launched the Upscaling of Child and Vulnerable Protection Initiatives.

As part of this milestone, Diocesan Staff and Frontline Workers received intensive training on the Diocese’s Child and Vulnerable Protection Policy, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to safeguard the rights and dignity of children and vulnerable persons within our communities.

This crucial initiative has been made possible through the generous support of ‚Die Sternsinger, Germany. Together, we are strengthening systems of protection, building capacity, and creating safer spaces for children and vulnerable groups in the Diocese.

🙏🏽 We are deeply grateful to our partners, stakeholders, and dedicated frontline workers for their commitment to building a community where every child and vulnerable person is protected, respected, and empowered.

Last week, the Yendi Catholic Diocesan Development Organization (YECADDO) commissioned a newly constructed Maternal and Child Health Block in Juasi, Bimbilla, a vital addition to the Juasi Health Facility’s existing Maternal and Child Unit.

This initiative is a significant step in our commitment to improving maternal and child health services for vulnerable communities in the Nanumba North Municipality.

The commissioning ceremony was led by Most Rev. Matthew Yitiereh, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yendi, with the presence of community leaders, health workers, and partners.

This project was made possible through the generous support of Manos Unidas, whose ongoing partnership continues to bring hope and healing to underserved communities.

🙏🏽 We thank all who contributed to this achievement. Together, we are building healthier families and stronger communities.
