Earlier today,we joined community members and the youth of the Lancaster Electoral Area in the Effutu Constituency to mark Day 2 of the National General Clean-up exercise.

The exercise which was held simultaneously across the nation was aimed at mitigating the impact of the devastating floods that occurred in some part of the country few weeks ago and also to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

As a youth-focused organization,we believe that young people have a critical role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals(GDG 6),and we are grateful for the opportunity to have contributed in this all important national assignment.

Sustainable development is a collective responsibility and a continuous process.May we continue to embrace this culture for a more prosperous Ghana.

Wise Youth Foundation was proud to participate in the 6th African Youth SDG summit held in Accra,Ghana.

Held under the theme,”Reimagining Africa through Youth-Driven Solutions,”the summit sought to recognize the African youth as not just beneficiaries of development but also as innovators,entrepreneurs,policymakers and community leaders capable of driving the Sustainable Development Goals across the continent.

As an organization actively working towards goals 3,4 and 5,it is a call for greater commitment and investment for the young people and communities we serve.

As part of activities to commemorate World Menstrual Health and Hygiene Day,members of the Wise Adolescent Club(WAC) participated in the maiden edition of the Wise Inter- Cub Menstrual Hygiene Quiz competition 2026.

Menstrual Health Day is observed globally on 28 May,each year,to raise awareness about the importance of good menstrual hygiene practices and to address key challenges facing women and girls during this critical period.

The competition brought members together to test their knowledge and skills about the subject and at the end of the contest,Ponkoekyir/Ndaamba-WAC,emerged as winners with 40 points,while Nsuekyir-WAC came second with 35 points.Contestants and members were presented with educational materials as well as free sanitation pads.

Every girl deserves to menstruate in dignity,respect and with pride.Together, we can all help to build a period free friendly world.

Wise Youth Foundation was privileged to join other youth-led organizations within the Central Region for a one-day consultative workshop in Cape Coast.

The consultation, organized by the National Youth Authority(NYA) in partnership with the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre(KIPTC) and GIZ forms part of a broader stakeholder engagement toward the development of the National Action Plan on Youth, Peace, and Security.

The organization was well represented by our President,Mr. Charles Ghunney.
