Over the weekend, Wise Youth Foundation in partnership with Young Leaders for Change and the National Youth Authority, with support from the Effutu Municipal Assembly and Sina Eye Clinic, organized the annual Aboakyer Against HIV campaign 2026.

The initiative, now in its fourth year, sought to use the vibrant Aboakyer Festival as a strategic platform to raise awareness on HIV prevention, reduce stigma and encourage voluntary testing.
Community members and revelers seized the opportunity to know their HIV status and received free counseling services. Other services provided included blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, free condoms and free eye screening.

Last week, Wise Youth Foundation joined the Africa Against Human Trafficking Campaign in Akosua Village, Winneba, organized by the Institute for Healing of Memories(South Africa) in partnership with Action by Christians Against Torture (ACAT Ghana) and Challenging Heights.

The campaign brought together parents, community leaders, and school children to raise awareness about the growing issue of human trafficking—especially along coastal communities where children are most vulnerable.

At Wise Youth Foundation, we remain committed to educating communities on modern trafficking tactics, including deception and online exploitation.

Today, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and vision of our forefathers who led us to freedom on this historic day in 1957. As we mark another year of independence, we are reminded that the true strength of our nation lies in its people — especially its youth.

At Wise Youth Foundation, we believe that the future of Ghana depends on empowered, informed, and purpose-driven young people who are ready to lead with integrity and innovation.
