EFFUTU RISES! A Historic Communal Sanitation Exercise Successfully Held on Tuesday, 4th November 2025!

On Tuesday, 4th November 2025, the Effutu Development Committee (EDC), under the guidance of the Effutu Traditional Authority, in collaboration with the Municipal Environmental and Sanitation Department, Municipal Health Directorate, Municipal Police Command, and Ghana National Fire Service, successfully led a historic communal sanitation and civic renewal exercise along the coastal areas, seashores, and lagoons of Winneba.

This groundbreaking event marked the first-ever joint participation of the proud Asafo Companies — Tuafo and Dentsefo — working together beyond the Aboakyer Festival to promote discipline, unity, and civic responsibility in Effutu.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr. (Mrs.) Brown, Municipal Health Director, for her generous donation of Malt, bottled and sachet water, and face masks, and for deploying nurses for public sensitization and health education.

Our sincere thanks also go to the Winneba Municipal Hospital for supporting the exercise with hand sanitizers, liquid soap, face masks, and gloves, ensuring safety and hygiene for all participants.

We deeply acknowledge the Municipal Police Commander, the Ghana National Fire Service, and their teams for providing security, logistics, and supervision throughout the exercise.

Special appreciation to the Premix Committee, the Fishermen Committee, and all natives and residents along the coastal and seashore communities for their active participation and commitment to making Effutu clean and united.

Gratitude also to Gloriaka Companies, our dedicated donor, for their kind support, and to all Asafo youth, volunteers, and community members who made this day historic.

Together, we are building a cleaner, united, and prouder Effutu.

The Effutu Development Committee (EDC) in collaboration with Simpa Tuafo Asafo Company No.1 and Dentsefo Asafo Company No.2 is leading a historic clean up and community awakening exercise at our coastal, seashore, and lagoon areas.

📍 Location: Effutu, Winneba Coastal Belt
🎯 Theme: “Reviving Asafo Spirit in Community Growth and Discipline”

This first of its kind exercise marks a rebirth of our communal labor, unity, and traditional pride. It will ensure that the Asafo Companies are recognized not only during Aboakyer but also as key partners in Effutu’s development journey.

Let us all come together. Youth groups, schools, traditional leaders, churches, businesses, and every proud Effutu citizen should join hands to make our land clean and beautiful once again.
