πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ Happy Independence Day, Ghana!

Freedom also means protecting the land that sustains us. From our forests to our wetlands and rivers, Ghana’s future depends on how well we care for our environment today.

At Climate and Ecosystem Restoration Network (CERN), we remain committed to restoring ecosystems and empowering youth to drive climate action.

Let’s build a greener, more resilient Ghana together. 🌍

🌿 Monitoring Progress at the Muni Pomadze Ramsar Site 🌿

As part of our ongoing tree planting activities under the Restore Woarabeba Project, the CERN team carried out our second monthly monitoring of the planted trees at the Muni Pomadze Ramsar Site in Winneba.

After a thorough assessment and count, we found that 306 trees have not survived and will need to be replaced to maintain our restoration targets. 🌱
Monitoring is a crucial part of our approach as it helps us learn, adapt, and strengthen our restoration strategies for long-term ecosystem health and sustainability.

Arrangements are already underway to replace the lost trees, but as a community-driven initiative with no external funding, we need your support. 🌍
🀝 We invite individuals, organisations, and partners to join us through sponsorship or collaboration to help sustain and scale up our restoration efforts at the Muni Pomadze Ramsar Site.

Together, we can restore degraded lands, protect biodiversity, and build a more climate-resilient future. 🌳
