Our Peer educators are powerful catalysts for communal growth, utilizing shared experiences and mutual support to foster learning and leadership at the community level. Through guided learning sessions, our field officers try to inculcate detailed information on SRHR/SGBV to support club outreach activities. We are enhancing the capacities of our peer educators to leverage their equal standing, accessibility, and influence to support and inspire peers to improve their lives in SRHR & SGBV in their communities.

We had a successful capacity building with our Peer Educators at KPANFA in the Wa West District.
We are impressed with the knowledge expressed by our vibrant friends supporting our goal of increasing knowledge agency in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in their communities.
Our Piili Sung manuals continue to be a good reference point that guides knowledge transfer amongst our Peer Educators.
We look forward to reporting on our club outreach activities during this Easter Break.

We made a honest and passionate presentation of our Piili Sung project, an innovative initiative seeking to increase knowledge agency on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) through the use of Peer Educators Clubs.
Our progress report saw us highlight the creation of nine (9) peer educators clubs, training of club members, resourcing clubs and capacity building for our chaperons.
We are excited to contribute to the Youth Empowered to Thrive (YET) project through our Piili Sung Project.
We look forward to continuing deepening knowledge agency on SRHR & SGBV in our impact areas.
Thank you Plan International Ghana for the continued partnership.

Our organisation hosted a team from the Monitoring & Evaluation Unit from Plan International Ghana for a crucial field data verification exercise as part of the Youth Empowered to Thrive (YET) project.

The M&E Specialist reviewed project data source documents, training reports, attendance sheets, and other relevant materials to ensure accuracy and reliability of project data.
We recognize the importance of evidence-based data in informing planning processes, As a youth-led nonprofit, we are committed to providing tangible data backed by empirical evidence to support our impact activities.

This exercise provided an opportunity for Us to receive valuable feedback and insights from the M&E experts. We appreciate the expertise and look forward to incorporating post-evaluation reports and learning from global best practices to enhance our impact reporting.

On invitation from the Methodist Church, Ghana. Rev. Paul Adu Society , we provided a comprehensive training on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Personal Hygiene to Sunday School students to empower them to make informed decisions and live healthy lives.
By using our Piili Sung Project Manual, students received visual guidance and hands on understanding on selected topics to enhance their understanding on sexual health, menstrual health, body autonomy and personal hygiene practices.

We were super excited leading the training and distribution of Menstrual Cups from CouldYou? to girls largely living in rural areas in the Wa West District. This intervention saw us directly impact 2,000 girls with menstrual cups as a viable alternative, now a preference for girls to tackle period poverty for the next decade. Each menstrual cup when used well can last for a decade. We are excited to see this publication and its findings. It aptly reflects the transformation on the ground.

Our Board Chairman joins Ghana 🇬🇭 in Canada 🇨🇦 to celebrate our rich Traditional Fashion by wearing his Fugu/Woori to work.
He encourages young people to be proud and uphold their culture. Beyond the clothes, try to eat more of the TZ, Fufu, Wakye and Yam. Ghana’s local rice tastes best and is healthy, eat that with stew or jollof and reduce patronizing imported foods.

On invitation by the UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime we recently participated in a UNODC workshop on Preventing Violent Extremism.
The sessions were educative and alarming. We had the opportunity to watch videos of real-life stories which showed how violent extremism destroys families and communities, and how young people are often targeted with false promises and quick money in their most vulnerable state.
Through discussions and group work with participants, we learned the importance of educating communities, engaging youth and community leaders, recognizing early warning signs of extremism, and staying alert to protect our communities.
This experience strengthened our commitment to peace, awareness, and community resilience.
We had the opportunity to present our proposal dubbed “Melodies for Mutual Respect & Social Cohesion “ which uses music and culture as a medium of bridging gaps and fostering communal relationships between minority groups and their host communities.

At Necessary Aid Alliance, we remain dedicated to empowering women, protecting the youth, and building stronger, safer communities, because prevention begins with knowledge and care.
Thank you to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the invitation. We look forward exploring more sustainable partnership opportunities.
