Mission
Sissala Heritage Foundation seeks to protect and promote Sissala natural and cultural heritage, thus ensuring sustained improvement in the quality of life of the Sissala people in Ghana. The Sissala Heritage Foundation will be the driving force behind a culturally rich, socially progressive and economically developed Sissala society for the future generations. Objectives
The Foundation is
a public, non-profit organization established with the following objectives:
a) To conceptualize, initiate, sustain and support programs aimed towards preserving and encouraging Sissala natural and cultural heritage, including but not limited to research, talent identification and promotion, employment generation, sustainable exploitation of the environment, wealth creation, health promotion, peace-building, cultural exchange and advocacy. b) To raise awareness about Sissala arts and culture amongst the local community with a focus on women, children and youth and to encourage exchange of ideas and devise programs for the reconstruction of relevant moribund Sissala culture. c) To create awareness about Sissala arts and culture amongst the various stakeholders, individuals and global organizations by leveraging print and social media and gratuitous circulations of leaflets, pamphlets etc. d) To seek recognition and endorsement from individuals, groups and communities globally for the foundation and Sissala arts and culture. e) To provide research-backed expertise to individuals, groups, district assemblies, governments, NGOs, The United Nations, and companies to preserve, enhance and encourage Sissala arts and culture. f) To constantly maintain the highest standards of accountability to the people and communities where we work. g) To build capability for the foundation and ensure that there are adequate financial and non- financial resources at all times. h) To do all the above mentioned and such other lawful acts, deeds and terms which are essential, conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above mentioned objectives or any of them by collecting funds and acquiring movable and immovable properties in accordance with the applicable law.
