🏅 RECOGNIZING A CHAMPION OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT 🏅

Leadership is not simply about holding a position; it is about inspiring growth in others.

Today, Tema Community 25 Lions Club proudly recognizes Lion Godwin Omebo, our First Vice President and Leadership Chairperson for the 2025–2026 Service Year, whose dedication to leadership development helped earn the club the distinction of District First Runner-Up – Leadership Growth.

One of his most impactful initiatives was the launch of Operation 1000 Courses, a bold campaign designed to encourage Lions and Leos to strengthen their skills through Lions Learning Center courses. Through this initiative, members embraced a culture of learning, self-improvement, and leadership development.

Under his guidance, members completed hundreds of leadership courses, building capacity not only within our club but across our Leo family as well.

This recognition reflects his commitment to empowering others, strengthening leadership pipelines, and ensuring that service excellence is supported by strong, capable leaders.

Tema Community 25 Lions Club proudly recognizes Lion Robert Dumakor, PMJF, for his outstanding leadership and dedication as Service Chairperson during the 2025–2026 Service Year.

Lion Robert’s passion for serving others was evident throughout the year, particularly through his leadership of the club’s Mental Health & Well-Being Service Activity at the St. Francis Rehabilitation Centre, Ashaiman East. 🌊 From Service to Impact – Prampram Beach Cleanup ♻️🦁

Yesterday, we showed what it truly means to serve.

Members of the Tema Community 25 Lions Club and Leo Club came together at Prampram to take action—and within just a few hours, we transformed two key spaces:
🌿 A heavily littered township park
🌊 A debris-filled beachfront

Armed with gloves, rakes, and a shared purpose, we cleared plastics, marine waste, and years of neglect—restoring beauty and dignity to these public spaces.

But beyond the cleanup, we listened.
Through our engagement with the local Assemblyman, we uncovered deeper challenges:

⚠️ Irregular waste collection
⚠️ Overflowing waste systems
⚠️ Limited disposal infrastructure
⚠️ Poor waste management practices

And perhaps most importantly—
🌍 A need for stronger environmental education and long-term solutions

Because the truth is:
Cleaning is just the beginning. Sustaining it is the real work.

🙏🏾 Special appreciation to Lion Helena Ampong for supporting the activity with cleaning materials, and to the Assemblyman for his guidance and collaboration.

💛 And to every Lion, Leo, and volunteer who showed up—you made this possible.

We didn’t just clean a beach.
We sparked a movement.

*Tema Community 25 Lions Club Hosts Inter-School Plastic Recycling Competition*

The Tema Community 25 Lions Club, in collaboration with the Tema Community 25 Leo Club and Krobo Girls Alpha Leo Club (Lions International District 418, Ghana), presents an *Inter-School Plastic Recycling Competition* under the theme: _“Protect Our Coast, Preserve Our Future – Lions Taking Action for Environmental Sustainability.”_

*Event Details*
- *Date*: 24 April 2026
- *Time*: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

*Participating Schools*
- Prampram Anglican A Basic School
- Prampram Anglican B Basic School
- Prampram D/A A Basic School

*Competition Highlights*
Students will engage in hands-on environmental action by responsibly collecting plastic waste, developing innovative recycling ideas, and presenting creative reuse solutions. The initiative aims to instill environmental stewardship in young learners while addressing plastic pollution along Ghana’s coast.

Outstanding participants will receive *Certificates & Recognition Awards*. Schools will also be supported with *Waste Bins* to promote continued sustainability practices beyond the competition.

This project reflects the Lions’ commitment to environmental causes and the global call to action for a cleaner, greener future. It aligns with the Lions’ motto: _“Rise to Lead, Reach to Serve, Strive for Excellence.”_
