Marfo Children Care Foundation (MCCF) is a non-governmental organization in Tema, Ghana dedicated to raising underprivileged children in a family home setting full of love and free of social stigma. The mission of the Foundation is to provide family-based Christian homes to facilitate spiritual and emotional growth and academic excellence to orphans. MCCF in essence is an orphanage however it has
a uniqueness that sets it apart from other orphanage..."We're not going to give away the orphans but raise them in love" MCCF vision is to construct several family-sized houses to serve as homes for 5 to 8 needy children per home, with qualified personal to serve as parents to the children and provide them with the love, care, discipline and education they need to grow into positive and contributing members of their community. The Foundation seeks to provide a standard family environment that will give each child the opportunity to be raised in a home of love and not a typical orphanage setting. Apart from home education, the children will be given formal education as well so they can become professions and qualified individuals. The founder, Adwoa, has begun the vision for her Foundation by converting her own home in Tema Ghana, into MCCF's first family home for orphans.
