Launch of Free Sanitary Pads for Girls in school.

Hey Fam, it's been a while
Yesterday in Accra, the long-awaited Free Sanitary Pads for Girls in school project was officially launched. While many of us advocates for the girl child were hoping for at least a tax reduction on sanitary pads, the news that they’ll now be completely free comes as a huge and refreshing relief.

But as we celebrate this win, I can’t help but wonder—what happens next? How will the project be implemented? How sustainable is it? And will future governments continue this initiative?

It’s undoubtedly a big step forward for menstrual health and dignity in Ghana, but there’s still a lot left unsaid. Let’s keep the conversation going and hold the system accountable. This is just the beginning.
