🎓✨ Inspiring the Next Generation – One School at a Time!

As part of our mission to support education and promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Wislaw Education and Support Fund, in collaboration with the Guidance and Counselling Unit of Tarkwa Technical Institute, reached out to BECE candidates across selected basic schools in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.

We didn’t just visit—we encouraged, motivated, and stood with them at this crucial moment. Our team shared essential exam materials (pens, pencils, and mathematical sets) and took time to pray with the students for success and confidence as they complete their examinations.

💡 Because every child deserves the tools, support, and belief to succeed.

This is just the beginning—we are committed to reaching even more schools and impacting more lives next year!

The successful graduation of 74 young women trained in Hatchery, Processing, and Marketing in Poultry under the ACTIVATE Project marked not just the end of a training programme, but the beginning of sustainable livelihoods and economic transformation.

At Wislaw Education and Support Fund, we go beyond skills training. We are committed to ensuring that every beneficiary transitions seamlessly from learning into earning. As part of our flagship “Earn as You Learn” initiative, each graduate was supported with practical startup resources immediately after completion of the programme.

This included the distribution of 300 live birds, high-quality feed, as well as essential production tools such as feeding and watering troughs and well-fabricated poultry coops. These coops were uniquely produced by trainees from our earlier cohort in Welding and Fabrication, creating a powerful cycle of peer-to-peer impact and internal value chain development.

This integrated approach ensures that our beneficiaries do not leave training as job seekers, but as job creators and agripreneurs, equipped with both the skills and the startup capacity to begin operations immediately.

The impact is already visible—young women who previously faced limited economic opportunities are now positioned to build sustainable poultry enterprises, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to local economic development.

Our model demonstrates that with the right blend of skills training, startup support, and mentorship, youth—especially women—can become powerful drivers of inclusive growth.

We are actively seeking partnerships and investment to scale this initiative, expand our reach, and deepen our impact. With increased support, we can empower many more young people, strengthen local value chains, and contribute significantly to reducing unemployment and poverty in our communities.

🇬🇭 Happy 69th Independence Day, Ghana! 🇬🇭

Today, we proudly celebrate 69 years of freedom, resilience, and nationhood since our beloved country, Ghana, broke the chains of colonial rule on 6th March 1957 under the visionary leadership of Kwame Nkrumah. That historic moment marked not only the birth of a free Ghana but also ignited hope for independence across Africa.

At Wislaw Education and Support Fund, this day reminds us that true independence goes beyond political freedom. It also means empowering our people with knowledge, skills, innovation, and opportunities to shape their own future.

As we commemorate this year’s Ghana Independence Day, we reflect on the responsibility placed on each of us, especially the youth, to build the Ghana we dream of. Through education, entrepreneurship, TVET empowerment, digital skills, and sustainable agriculture, we can transform our communities and create meaningful livelihoods.

🎄As we celebrate the gift of Christmas, we are reminded that hope is born, light shines in darkness, and love is made visible through service.

At Wislaw Education and Support Fund, this season calls us to reflect with gratitude on every life touched, every skill empowered, and every dream nurtured throughout the year. Christmas is not only about what we receive, but about what we give—time, compassion, knowledge, and opportunity.

We thank our partners, facilitators, volunteers, donors, and the amazing youth and communities we serve for believing in a shared vision: empowering people to rise, create, and thrive. Your support continues to transform challenges into possibilities and skills into sustainable livelihoods.

As we step into a new year, may the spirit of Christmas renew our commitment to education, innovation, inclusion, and hope. May peace fill our homes, joy strengthen our hearts, and purpose guide our steps.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year from all of us at Wislaw.

Together, we are building futures. 🌟🎄

🐥 ACTIVATE Project – Hands-on Poultry Training at Its Best! 🐔✨

Our ACTIVATE trainees continue to shine! As part of the Poultry Production module, students received practical, real-life training in key poultry management skills that every successful farmer needs.

During the session, participants were taught how to properly vaccinate fowls to keep them healthy and disease-free. Each student had the opportunity to administer vaccines to eight-week-old layers, gaining the confidence and competence required for safe poultry handling.

Another exciting moment was learning how to carefully remove newly-hatched chicks from the incubator — a delicate and essential skill for anyone interested in modern poultry farming.

The energy, curiosity, and hands-on commitment from our young trainees were inspiring. This is exactly what the ACTIVATE Project stands for: equipping youth with practical skills, opening doors to agribusiness opportunities, and empowering the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs!

👏🏽🔥 We are proud of their progress and excited for what they will achieve next!
