We join our partners world wide to celebrate our gallant women in the service of promoting !

Friends!! Here's our first virtual event of the year that will bring together all our partners and their wonderful youth storytellers from Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana. We share this special invitation with you below!

You're invited to our annual Field to Film Festival, West Africa Edition!
Join us on March 12, 2026, for a special virtual screening of short films produced by young storytellers from farming communities across West Africa.
This year, the spotlight is on the women farmers who sustain the land, nourish families and lead the agroecology movement in Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, and Ghana.
These films, made by the youth who live and work alongside women farmers, offer a rare glimpse into the challenges, experiences and stories of the women and their relationship with nature as well as their role in transforming landscapes and livelihoods in West Africa!
💬 After the screening, you'll have the chance to meet the young filmmakers during an interactive panel discussion and engage with them directly
🌍 In honor of the UN's 2026 International Year of the Woman Farmer

Meet Our Partner -Association Nourrir Sans Détruire (ANSD).

Association Nourrir Sans Détruire (ANSD) has been a founding member of the Groundswell International West Africa Regional Network since 2012. Based in Burkina Faso, ANSD works to strengthen the capacities of local communities—especially women farmers—to lead, manage, and scale agroecology programs that improve food security, resilience, and livelihoods.
Through its diverse program strategies, ANSD has:

Supported a robust farmer-to-farmer network, enabling the widespread adoption of effective agroecological practices.
Empowered women farmers to nourish their families, increase household income, and organize collectively, amplifying their voices as community leaders and agroecology champions.
Advocated strongly for peasant rights, farmer-led management of natural resources, and improved food security and nutrition.

In recent years, ANSD has promoted rainwater harvesting and water management initiatives that help rural communities adapt to low and increasingly erratic rainfall patterns in the Sahel. Recognizing the importance of youth leadership, ANSD also engages young people through Groundswell International’s Youth Storyteller Program, helping them build media skills and leadership capacity to share their personal experiences and promote agroecology within their communities.
Together with our other network members, we are; women farmers, communities and in Faso.

Welcome, everyone, to our Regional page!

Since 2009, Groundswell International and our regional network of NGO partners have been working hand‑in‑hand with smallholder farmers across four West African countries: Faso, , and . We connect smallholder farmers and organizations to generate and scale farming solutions from the ground up. With our partners, we support smallholder farmers’ capacity, agency and opportunities, with community-led processes at the core of our strategy. We believe in food systems built on local knowledge, social and environmental balance. With decades of field experience and evidence, we’ve seen proof that leads to thriving , with healthier soil, food, people, environments, and societies. We created this space to strengthen regional connections, so we can share, learn, and grow together.
