Northern Voices Ghana is a registered non-profit organization created by a group of young individuals with the passion for creating a better narrative of Northern Ghana via youthful engagements on community projects. Our main objective is to help transform local communities through youth engagements in various initiatives that span a large spectrum of activities including various outreaches to rur

al populations. Our mission is to become a community organization in Ghana run by youth improving livelihoods using innovative strategies in empowering the youth, through skills development, quality educational and health outreaches, and other relevant social programs. Some of our flagship projects include our educational outreach projects where we have mentored over 5000 senior high school students across different schools in the northern region. We have also had the opportunity to work with some local and international organizations such as TZEDEK, KL-YES Program by the US Department of State, Youth Empowerment For Life (YEFL) among many others on various projects including peace campaigns and other youth empowerment projects.

We are thrilled to share that the Project READ leadership team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes — and we’ve secured a small grant to strengthen and expand our efforts to improve literacy among children in our communities!

We’re grateful to be partnering with several wonderful organizations to make this possible. To kick off this next chapter, we’re taking the children on a fun and educational day out this Saturday for our official program relaunch.

We’ll be spending the day at Red Clay Studios, where the children will enjoy:
📚 Engaging reading sessions
🎨 Creative and play activities
🍱 A picnic-style lunch to end the day

We can’t wait to share this special moment with them — and with you!

📚 Our Mobile Library Is Still Going Strong! 🚐✨

A few weeks ago, we had a meaningful meeting with the Regional Director of the Ghana Library Authority, Mr Aaron Kuwornu — a promising step toward building stronger collaborations to promote literacy.
Through our program, we currently serve around 150 children and are actively seeking opportunities to expand our reach to more villages. Our goal remains the same: to foster a love of reading and learning in underserved communities.
