OUR LITERACY JOURNEY CONTINUES

Yesterday, we successfully held our May Reading Competition, bringing together contestants from the Cheetah, Giraffe, and Flamingo clusters. Since these clusters represent different reading levels, the competition provided every participant with a fair opportunity to demonstrate their reading skills and progress.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated judges for their time and commitment. Your support continues to make this program meaningful and impactful for our learners.

MAY READING!

We held our Reading Competition for the month of May yesterday, and it was truly a special one. Not only did we witness impressive reading skills and confidence from our learners, but this competition also sets the stage for another exciting round at the end of the month.

A big thank you to our six amazing contestants for their courage and effort, to our dedicated judges for their fairness and guidance, and to our timekeeper for keeping everything on track.

We look forward to an even more thrilling competition at the tail end of May!

READING NEVER STOPS!

We held an exciting Reading Competition on the 10th, featuring six amazing competitors from the Cheetah, Giraffe, and Flamingo clusters.

It’s truly inspiring to see how much our reading skills continue to improve with each session.

A big thank you to our dedicated judges and our timekeeper for ensuring everything ran smoothly. We also appreciate all our beneficiaries for their cooperation before, during, and after each contestant’s reading.

EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION TO YENDI

Our annual excursion on 4th April took us to Yendi for a memorable day of tourism, sightseeing, and learning.

We explored the historic King’s Rival Baobab Tree, visited Babatu’s Resting Place, stood at the Greenwich Meridian (Latitude Zero) Marker, and learned about the December 3–4, 1896 war between the Dagomba’s and the German colonial army at the Adibo Battlefield.

It was an enriching experience that brought learning to life and deepened our appreciation of Ghana’s heritage.

A special thank you to our tour guide, Alhajj Alhassan Gonji, for his immense knowledge of these sites.

We are grateful to all parents for consistently honouring our invitations and for your continued support and commitment. Together, we are making meaningful progress in the lives of our children.

Thank you!

.2026 TREE AT PANKO YOUTH CENTER

Our beautiful HERmission Tree is more than just art — it is a symbol of life, unity, and hope.

Each leaf represents the handprints of our preschool and after-school beneficiaries, as well as our staff, showing that every child is part of something bigger. Together, their hands form one strong tree — a reminder that when individuals connect, we grow stronger.

This tree reflects life, community, and the endless possibility of growing together.

OUR VOLUNTEERS 2026

We are excited to welcome our six (6) energetic volunteers from Germany to Panko Youth Center!

During their stay with us, they will be actively engaging with our preschool and after-school programs, supporting learning and sharing meaningful experiences with our children. They will also visit the four communities we operate in, connecting with families and deepening their understanding of our work on the ground.

We are grateful for their commitment and look forward to a beautiful time of learning, exchange, and impact together.
