Over the next five weeks, dressmakers, hairdressers, smock weavers, and other informal sector artisans will participate in a practical digital transformation journey designed to help them grow their businesses in an increasingly digital economy.

Participants will be introduced to digital tools that can improve their online visibility, strengthen customer engagement, support business promotion, and enhance record keeping and financial management.

This cohort also marks an important milestone as we adopt the Digital Champions Model, developed by GIZ Ghana and Savana Signatures , to complement training with business mentorship and coaching. This approach will provide participants with ongoing guidance and support as they apply their learning to their businesses.

We believe that digital inclusion is about equipping entrepreneurs with the skills, confidence, and support needed to compete, grow, and thrive.

We look forward to walking this journey with our newest cohort of artisans and celebrating their growth over the coming weeks.

On Friday, 29th May 2026, Thrive Nest received team from the Presidential Delivery Unit, Office of the President, and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme-NEIP (NEIP) for a post-implementation visit on the Adwumawura Programme.

The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on our role as a training delivery partner, share key successes, challenges encountered throughout implementation, and discuss areas for improvement to strengthen future programme delivery.

The team also engaged directly with some beneficiaries who received funding support under the programme to better understand how the grants are being used to support and grow their SMEs.

We value opportunities such as this that promote learning, accountability, and continuous improvement in entrepreneurship support initiatives.

We are excited to welcome three interns from the Department of Social Change Communication at the University for Development Studies (UDS) to Thrive Nest.

As part of their onboarding, the interns participated in an orientation session facilitated by our Operations Assistant, Yussif Zakiatu, where they were introduced to our work, operations, and expectations for the internship period.

Over the next one month, they will work closely with our communications team to gain practical experience in content development, digital communications, storytelling, and community engagement to complement their academic learning.

At Thrive Nest, we believe practical exposure is essential in preparing young people for the world of work, and we are pleased to provide a learning environment that supports growth, creativity, and professional development.

We wish them a productive and impactful internship journey with us.

Bridging the digital divide is not only about access to technology. It is also about access to guidance, exposure, and opportunities.

Mentorship plays an important role in bridging the digital divide because it goes beyond teaching technical skills. When girls are mentored, they begin to see possibilities beyond their immediate environment. It helps girls build confidence, ask questions freely, develop ideas, and pursue opportunities they may never have considered.

This is why mentorship remains an important part of our work at Thrive Nest. Through initiatives like Her Digital Path and the Thrive Girls Club, we continue to create spaces where girls can learn, connect, and be inspired by people who have walked similar paths.
