FOBNA Expresses Gratitude to STAR-Ghana Foundation and Partners
We are truly honored to have participated in the recently concluded 3rd Ghana Civil Society Forum (GCSF), hosted by the STAR-Ghana Foundation from June 25th to 26th, 2025, at the GNAT Hall Headquarters in Accra.
The forum, held under the impactful theme, “Reimagining Development Financing and Civic Action-Challenges and the Way Forward,” served as a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, strategic planning, and collective visioning that will inform the future of civic engagement and sustainable development financing in Ghana and beyond.
Over the two-day event, discussions delved into key topics including:
• The efficacy of state-led financing
• Social contracting and partnerships between CSOs and government
• Fundraising efforts led by local and diaspora communities
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), impact investing, and blended finance
• Innovative approaches such as crowdfunding and hybrid social enterprise models
Participants also enhanced their understanding of the evolving aid landscape, particularly with respect to:
• Climate finance
• South-South cooperation
• Blended finance
• Impact investing
As a grassroots-oriented organization, the Fountain of Blessings for Nations (FOBNA) leaves the forum motivated and equipped to deepen resilience, forge strategic partnerships, and minimize reliance on traditional aid models, all while remaining committed to our community-centered mission.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the STAR-Ghana Foundation and the dedicated partners of the forum, including CDD-Ghana, WACSI, NORSAAC, Oxfam Ghana, GDCA, Transparency International Ghana, the Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Forum, and the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition for their exceptional leadership, collaboration, and dedication to elevating the voices of civil society.
Together, we are reimagining and reshaping the future.
