Building a Healthier Kumbungu with Water & Sanitation Solutions
This year, with the generous support of our partner, the Grundfos Foundation - PDJF, HOPin Academy and Fix That Pump are embarking on a new initiative to bring integrated water and sanitation solutions to the Kumbungu community for a healthier, even more dignified future.
Together, we are working to set up modern toilet facilities, safe drinking water points, and handwashing stations across Kumbungu. These facilities will be strategically placed in the Senior High School, the main market center, and the health center that serves countless families, including mothers and children in maternity care.
Over the past weeks, we have engaged with chiefs, community leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure the project reflects the community’s true needs. The groundwork and foundations are now being prepared, and in the coming weeks we look forward to sharing the completed facilities with you.
For us at HOPin Academy and Fix That Pump, this is more than just infrastructure it is about promoting hygiene, advancing hygiene education, reducing waterborne diseases, and improving overall community well-being.
Over the years, our partnership with the Grundfos Foundation has touched many regions and districts across Northern Ghana, improving the quality of life through impactful interventions. We are grateful to Grundfos for believing in us and for trusting us to make this vision a reality for the people of Kumbungu.
