OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY DEPARTMENT WELCOMES MEDEVAC TEAM FOR FREE SURGERIES
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Department of the Tamale Teaching Hospital has welcomed a team from MEDEVAC to commence a week-long medical exercise. Ahead of their arrival, the O&G team had screened clients with obstetric and gynaecological conditions in preparation for the joint initiative.
Beginning today Wednesday, September 17, 2025, both teams will conduct free surgeries for patients with various cases.
At an entry conference to officially receive the team, the Director of Medical Affairs, Prof. Alhassan Abdul-Mumin, expressed appreciation for the collaboration. He assured the visiting team of Management’s commitment to ensuring a successful exercise, acknowledging that such collaborations may sometimes come with challenges.
The intervention is expected to provide much-needed relief to patients while strengthening partnerships in healthcare delivery.
