The emerging consensus among development practitioners, researchers, and community leaders is that conservation must be grounded in ethics; values, principles, and behaviours that guide how people make decisions about land, water, forests, and wildlife. This ethical dimension becomes even more powerful when applied to children and young students who will shape the future of environmental stewardship.
