These highlights from the INUA PAGBA Policy Dialogue Roundtables in Yendi and Mion capture more than conversations -they capture commitment.

Listen as stakeholders reaffirm their pledge to champion zero tolerance for gender-based violence and strengthen community efforts to protect the rights of women and girls. Hear also from our Executive Director, Hajia Fati Seidu Tambro, as she calls on parents to prioritize education, especially for the girl child, and assures participants that the recommendations and commitments made during the dialogues will be pursued through the appropriate channels to influence policy and drive lasting change.

Closing Phase I with collaboration and commitment. 🤝

Sung Foundation successfully held the final INUA PAGBA Policy Dialogue Roundtable in the Mion District, bringing together Government Institutions, Traditional Authorities, Persons with Disabilities, and Community Stakeholders to strengthen partnerships in advancing gender justice and preventing gender-based violence.

Through expert-led discussions and stakeholder dialogue, participants reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the project's impact and protecting the rights of women and girls beyond Phase I.

Our Executive Director, Hajia Fati Seidu Tambro, participated in the National Capacity-Building Workshop on "Protecting Our Daughters," held on 7th and 8th July 2026, representing Girls Not Brides as its Immediate Past President.

The workshop, organized by and partners under the Faith Movement for Justice project, brought together faith leaders, Civil Society Organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen community action towards protecting girls, promoting justice, and safeguarding family values.

We are proud of her continued leadership and commitment to advancing the rights and protection of girls through collaboration and advocacy.

Building partnerships for lasting impact.

Sung Foundation successfully hosted the first PAGBA Policy Dialogue Roundtable in the Yendi Municipality. The event attracted representatives from the Ghana Health Service, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), the Department of Social Welfare, the Gender Desk Office, the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Assembly Members, Traditional Authorities, Persons with Disabilities, Women Leaders from participating communities and CSOs like Songtaba and Peace Center to strengthen in addressing gender-based violence and harmful practices.
Through engaging discussions on the state of , women's leadership, and strengthening community by-laws, stakeholders shared experiences, identified challenges, proposed practical solutions, and made firm to sustaining efforts beyond the project.

Our Executive Director, Hajia Fati Seidu Tambro, participated in the 2026 Ghana Civil Society Forum, held on 25–26 June and convened by the STAR-Ghana Foundation at the University of Ghana.

The forum brought together civil society actors, policymakers, development partners, the private sector, academia, and young people under the theme “Reimagining Partnerships for Democratic Consolidation and Inclusive Development.”

Discussions throughout the two-day convening focused on strengthening democratic governance, deepening citizen participation, and advancing inclusive development through stronger collaboration between state and non-state actors. Key conversations also emphasized the importance of domestic resource mobilization, accountable governance, and locally driven solutions to national development challenges.

As part of the engagement, H.E. the President of the Republic of Ghana joined stakeholders in dialogue with civil society actors and students on the future of civic action and the role of citizens in shaping development outcomes.

Hajia Fati Seidu Tambro engaged with participants across various sessions and networking spaces, contributing to ongoing reflections on how civil society can remain effective, responsive, and impactful in a changing development landscape.

The engagement reflects continued efforts to strengthen partnerships that promote civic participation, accountability, and sustainable development.
