One thing I like to teach young men these days is to never shake someone’s hand whilst sitting down. I see a lot of people doing this, and it’s sad because this is such a basic etiquette that shows respect, intent, trust, and professionalism.

And when you are seated, and someone is being introduced to you… stand up, smile, offer a firm handshake while looking the person straight in the eyes, and repeat their name twice. It shows humility, honour, confidence, and interest.

A popular Ghanaian street food, kosua ne meko — eggs stuffed with tomato relish — is easy to make and fun to share. https://nyti.ms/41koXLM

The leader of the UK Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, says Britain should have voted against the UN resolution, which described slavery as the greatest crime against humanity and demanded slavery reparations from former colonial authorities. The UK, along with 51 other mostly European countries, abstained. In a post on X, Badenoch criticized the UK government, saying the resolution could lead to "trillions in reparations from UK taxpayers" and questioning why Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s representative did not oppose it. She argued that Britain should not pay reparations, insisting "Britain led the fight to end slavery." The resolution, which was introduced by Ghana, urges the creation of a global reparations fund and calls on nations to acknowledge and apologize for their role in the transatlantic slave trade.

VILLAGE MISSIONS DEVOTIONAL (FOLLOW-UP)
Theme: Loved Beyond Measure

Scripture:

> “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
> The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
> What is man that You are mindful of him,
> And the son of man that You visit him?”
> — *Psalm 8:3–4 (NKJV)*

:
Have you ever paused to ponder this mystery—
Why God, in His infinite wisdom and unmatched power, chose to love humanity?

After creation displayed His might…
After the heavens declared His glory…
God still turned His attention to people—fragile, flawed, and with nothing to offer Him in return.

Yet Scripture tells us: He is mindful of us.
Not because of our strength.
Not because of our wealth.
Not because of our perfection.

But because of His love.

Village missions are a living response to this truth.
When we step into villages, when we reach the forgotten, the overlooked, the vulnerable—we are echoing God’s heart that says:
“You matter. I see you. I have not forgotten you.”

If God is mindful of humanity, then we must also be mindful of people.

*Call to Reflection:*
As we reflect on our village missions, ask yourself:

* Who is God asking me to notice?
* How can I reflect His love—through prayer, giving, service, or presence?

:
Lord, when we look at Your greatness, remind us of our responsibility.
Thank You for loving us when we had nothing to give.
Help us reflect that same love to those You send us to.
Use our lives, our resources, and our obedience for Your glory.
Amen.

Good morning.
