Street children often develop open wounds due to harsh living conditions and lack of basic care. Walking barefoot exposes them to sharp objects like broken glass and metal, leading to cuts and injuries. They may also get wounds from physical fights, accidents, or unsafe sleeping environments on the streets. Without access to proper hygiene, clean water, or medical treatment, even small injuries can become open wounds and worsen over time. The team of the Day Center in Osu supports first aid and medical attention to street-connected children and seeks for professional medical support where needed.

Kinder Paradise had the privilege of hosting the Women of Action, a Christian women's group under Action Chapel International. During their recent visit, the group made a generous donation to support the needs of the Home, demonstrating their kindness and commitment of giving back.

Beyond their donation, they spent meaningful time interacting with the children, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Through their words of encouragement and motivation, they inspired the children to remain hopeful, to believe in their potential and to look forward to a brighter future. Their visit left a lasting impression, bringing not only material support but also emotional upliftment and renewed hope to the children at Kinder Paradise.

Thank you very much for your visit and the time we had together. May God bless you.

Today is World Malaria Day. A day that needs to be mentioned and where we think we have to step in to create awareness too. Malaria exists and it can kill if not treated on time and if not treated correctly.

The social workers of the Day Center in Osu played a word game with the street-connected children. It is important to implement moments of joy and laughter. Time to have fun and to relax from the daily struggles faced when being on the street. The focus of the word game was to have fun instead of perfection.
